The Shearwaterhouse sleeps 8+ people, with two bedrooms upstairs, master with king bed (ocean view), and guest room with a queen bed and fainting couch. The upstairs master bedroom opens to the upper deck which houses the gazebo-covered hot tub. The large sectional in the living room has a queen pullout bed. Dynamic and big ocean views from the living room, dining room and kitchen.
The downstairs bedroom is large with a queen sized bed, a double futon, tv watching area and game table. Adjoining bathroom.
Foosball table and nintendo wii available.
Beach access is an easy walk with tide pools close by. Although there is a spotting scope and binoculars in the house for guest use, you can easily see the surfers, kite-boarders and spouting whales from the deck and from inside the house.
GUEST HOUSE (also known as the Romance of the Sea)
Designed specifically for the romantic couple, the Romance of the Sea is an intimate, sexy little cottage with a great view of the ocean. Can be rented separately or in conjunction with the Shearwaterhouse for an additional fee.
One short block to beach access. Roads End State Park (excellent surfing beach) is 1/2 mile away, approximately 1 mile to casino and shopping. Chinook Winds Golf course is approximately 1.5 miles away.
Strict NO PET policy. Smoking allowed outside.

Guest house - $135 per night
Area Information
Chinook Winds Casino is a mere mile up the road, an even shorter, easy beach walk (tides permitting); grocery and restaurants nearby.

Me and my family had a great time at the coast and at the house. The beds were great and the kids enjoy the watch the ocean from the deck. I would rental again for sure. + the owner are so nice. One of the thing we really didn't enjoy is the parking by the garage. It was crazy. Another then that it was great and would came again.

I agree, the driveway is steep - and we do have space for a car to park at the top side of the house, I hope you took advantage of that? We also have wheel chocks available in the driveway parking area below. The house sits on a little hill, which is what gives us such a magnificent, panoramic view of the ocean. Since we are just a block from the ocean, we feel fortunate to have such a fabulous view!

Nice beach house to rent for muti-family vacation

House was clean and welled stocked with amenities. It was close to beach where we could walk with kids. The property has an amazing view as it's located on a higher ground. Deck is large and perfect for BBQ. The only downside was that there were no backyard where kids could hand around. They could either only be inside or out on a deck where we did not feel safe for them. We have a great time there and will recommend this property to other people.

We stayed 4 nights at the Shearwater house and had a wonderful time. It is located just a short walk from the beach and has great views. The homeowners are super friendly and easy to work with. We had zero issues.

Our stay at this beach house was better than expected. The homes views are better than pictures posted. We felt very comfortable as soon as we walked in. The house was very kid friendly. The weekend we went it was too cold and windy to enjoy the beach. Luckily the house had such good views of the ocean throughout, hot tub, and location that we had plenty of fun sitting out on the deck. All the beds were comfortable to sleep in. The location was great, near the casino, beach, and grocery stores. The kitchen had more than enough plates and kitchen supplies for our party of 9. The layout worked out very well for us. We let the kids take over the downstairs, while the adults stayed up later to enjoy games, cocktails and conversations in the open living room dining room layout. We were not able to find clear public beach access to the home. Many entrances looked private. We did drive down once and the second time we walked around and figured it out. Debi was very flexible and easy to work with. This family friendly house definitely was one of the reasons we had such a good time on our trip.

We are delighted that you and your group enjoyed your stay, and that the house was good for your needs. There is public beach access, but the county does not post it on Logan Road. The way to know is that there are large posts on either side of a path that go down to the beach. Ours it at the bottom of our road and south one house, just a block's walk. Once down on the beach, most of the beach access points are numbered, to help you identify your entry point. Thanks for help with clarification - I will add this to our information packet! Please come again - and bring the kids: we are turning that bottom bedroom into an undersea garden theme. Debi

We spent six wonderful days here! Lots to do between the hot tub, pool, ping pong, air hockey, site-seeing, beach walking, etc. It was great and worth the money. The kitchen was well stocked and furniture very comfortable. Good selection of movies too. Every night two raccoons which we nicknamed Rocky and Rita came around to receive their snacks. It was a great place to rent. We highly recommend it.

Great Girls Weekend!

Each year we have a girls shopping weekend to get away and this spot was PERFECT! The layout of the house, the furnishings, location to shopping, beach, casino and so much more were awesome. We were able to have fun, relax in the hot tub and really have a wonderful time. This location will now be our regular spot each time we return. Working with the owner was also very easy and she is a great communicator. Returning to this property will not be a question... it will be certain!

Just stayed at the Shearwater house this pastweekend. What a lovely home. There were 7 of us and we had more than enough room for everyone. The house is user friendly and came with every aminity that you could possibly need. If not it is very close bye. Would recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a place to stay on the beautiful Oregon Coast.

I really can't say enough good things about this wonderful home. We arrived and all was very clean and "homey". The front windows overlooking a GORGEOUS beach view are amazing. I love that there is the spacious upper deck w/ patio furniture and 2 separate sliding doors. The bedrooms are spacious and very pretty. The downstairs HUGE room even has it's very own bathroom, which is super convenient to those staying down there. The master bedroom also has it's own bathroom, which is great. Kitchen is very well equipped and it even has coffee!!!! All of us had a wonderful time and will definitely be recommending this home to anyone who wants a terrific beach rental. Thank you so much!

This is my second stay at Shearwater house in Lincoln City. This time I took the family so we could celebrate my daughters 30th birthday. We filled both houses with people and everyone was comfortable. My grand daughters ran & played non stop. I had no concerns for the toddlers safety as she could run from one end of the deck to the other. We played on the beach, saw some local sites, played cards, games, jigsaw puzzles, movies, cooking, margarita's, oysters on the outdoor grill, soaked in the hot tub and sat on the deck in Feb. with blue sky above us. Life is sweet at the beach. The deer close by were a treat as were the little birds perching on the high tree branches right outside the window. The open floor plan lets everyone be a part of the action. Our friends in the guest came to the big house for meals and hang out time but also loved the solitude of the smaller house for young child naps, studying for a test at school and enjoying their own hot tub in the early morning. To celebrate my daughter's birthday in such a unforgettable way was truly priceless. My 4 year old grand daughter said she was sad when we had to leave. I told her we would be back and I can see us creating many wonderful memories over the years at this incredible beach house. Thanks Debi & Rob for all the work you have put into this house to make it enjoyable for us.

My stay at Shearwater was just wonderful. Everything is just funner at the beach. The house is not just a rental, it is a home. You can walk in with your clothes and "be home". Everything you need is there. The warm feel is inviting, the peacefulness is relaxing. I loved the cozy couch with the most amazing view ever. You feel like you are on top of the world overlooking the most beautiful ocean. Cooking was fun, sharing the time with friends, even sleeping in the big comfy beds was awesome. I am picky about my sleep and these beds are great. It was cold in Dec. but still could not resist the deck. It calls you outside to drink in the view. Having the two stories is perfect for families with kids. The young ones can hang out downstairs and adults have their space upstairs. The walk to the beach is easy and town is close for shopping but yet you feel like you are in a private haven. The guest house is so beautiful and romantic. Great to have that space for family or friends who desire their own space but still close to the big house. Amazing set up and just so so comfortable. I will be back. Look forward to just renting the guest house for a different kind of get away versus the larger house with more people. I highly recommend this lovely, well care for home on the Oregon coast with a view to die for. You won't regret this stay.

It's very comfortable and in a great location! Six deer love this location too. It was awesome watching them eat the lawn (the neighbor's lawn). We just sat on the deck with our beverages and enjoyed the experience. We'll be back! Steven & LaVeta

We stayed for a week and just loved it! The deck was beautiful to sit on and watch the stormy sea. The house had everything we needed. The reunion with our old college friends was fun and we even did night time beach croquet with glow-in-the-dark wickets and balls. It was a blast!
Thank you very much for letting us stay in your lovely house. Beautiful couple of days on the coast for a golf trip. Sunny, blue sky, days with almost no wind and warm even in February.
The views from the deck are amazing and the hot tub was wonderful after 27 holes of golf. Enjoyed a relaxing evening with friends and a late night walk on the beach.

GUEST HOUSE: Had a fantastic 16th anniversary weekend. Weather was clear, warm and no wind. Who would have thought it was February! After our 8 mile walk on the sand we were happy to have the hot tub when we got back. Even more happy that it has a privacy screen! My wife and I both said that this was one of our best anniversaries!
Shearwaterhouse: First weekend at the new house! It's absolutely beautiful. Lots of fun bonding with family & friends. It was a great baby-first beach trip!

I have never had so much fun or laughed so hard as I did this weekend playing charades with the big stumper being 'wonder bra'. The weather was beautiful, the company amazing and we only got stuck in one downpour. What else can you ask for?
Shearwaterhouse: We've had the most wonderful 3 days here at Shearwater house. Celebrating my daughter's 30th birthday has been nonstop fun, laughter, delicious food & great booze. We had 10 minutes of rain total for 3 days. The sky was blue, the stars were out, hardly needed heat on in the house. Everyone has loved this lovely home and our comfort was met. Our friends who stayed in the Guest House loved it and enjoyed the little hot tub.
The kitchen is fully stocked - wonderful to cook with an amazing view. The guys cooked oysters on the grill, the hot tub was a hit. Sat in the chairs on the deck, end of Feb. Amazing weather, we are grateful for. We'll be back!
Shearwaterhouse: What an amnazing weekend. Weather was perfect as well as the company. We are here to celebrate our daughter-in-law's birthday. Thank you for sharing your beach house, it totally accommodated all our needs. We live in Eastern Washington so this is a total change for us, very delightful!
GUEST HOUSE: We had such an amazing weekend here! We came from Portland and stopped at Spirit Mt. Casino then came to check out the house. It was awesome having the beach within walking distance. The hot tub was perfect size for the two of us and felt great after walking on the beach. On one of our beach excursions we found an unopened bottle of Smirnoff which we thought was hilarious, and on our way back to the house, we saw 3 deer! So cool! Went to visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory and hit up Chinook Winds Casino both nights. This house is cozy and we had an incredible time staying here! Thank you so much.

Thanksgiving weekend 2009. It was fun being the 'first renters'. Family & friends coming and going, great visit, fun time-- jig-saw puzzles, beach walks, music, hot tub. Traded cooking lessons: creme brulle, home-made bread, bananas foster, eggs benedict. Enjoyed 3 deer 'mowing' the lawn. Dynamic ocean, white water halfway to horizon with BIG rollers, then pure blue sky and sunshine on last day. Good time to give thanks! Dad
I stayed at this lovely guest house over the Thanksgiving weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the view, the perfect location, the quiet and the deer! The place has everything I needed to have a great time and the king bed was super comfy, perfect at the end of the day to lie back and relax with a book and a view of the ocean. The beach access is so close yet there is a wonderful feel of privacy in the area. This is one of the best places I've stayed on the Oregon Coast and I can't believe the price is so reasonable.
