The weekend away with another couple was perfect, toured the country side, relaxed and visited multiple vineyards in the area. We arrived at night so it was difficult to find, bit the owner graciously walked me through the directions as i drove on the phone. Everything wen t smooth and we really enjoyed the relaxing weekend away. We are in our late 20's early 30's and this place worked great for our needs.

Anniversary getaway with great view!!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 10 year annivesary and had a wonderful time!!! The view from the deck was incredible. It was a great weekend!

We thourougly enjoyed our stay. Everything was very cosy and clean, the view from the deck is very nice. Definitely enjoyed the sunset. Fireplace added to the overal charm. Only concern is that we smelled the exhaust from the burning fireplace a bit too strong for just a smell of a burning wood. Turning on the fan helped a bit. One may be surprised by the size of the bathroom and shawer compartment.

Cozy cabin with amazing view

My sister and I loved this place! We hated to leave! It was clean, well-maintained, and has all the kitchen equipment you could want. The bedding and bath towels were of good quality. The cabin is small but so comfortable! We spent little time inside anyway, with such a beautiful view and all kinds of wildlife to be seen from the deck. It's only short drive to get down off the mountain on great roads. You can be in Front Royal in about 20 minutes and another 5 min. to the entrance of the Park. There are many wineries within a 30-45 min. drive or less. It was only an hour's drive to Fairfax where we caught the Metro to go into Washington DC for the day. The neighborhood where the cabin is located is very quiet and beautifully rural. If you plan to use the WI-FI connection, be sure you get the pass phrase before you go, as it was not supplied automatically. We had to ask. Also the WI-FI has a weak signal (slow) and it is on an unsecure network, so we had to restrict some computer activities. We only turned the TV on once during the week, but had problems with that, because we could not find a channel guide or instructions on which remote operates which piece of equipment anywhere in the cabin. In spite of these couple of technical difficulties, we had a wonderful time and would definitely rent this cabin again, if we are back in northern Virginia!

Thank you for your review and we're glad you'd come back to stay!
As for the Wi-Fi connection, your arrival followed the "storm of the century" in the Shenandoah Valley area with major power outages and such. The network for Beau Ridge was clearly effected, as it is a secure network, hence the password issue you reported during your stay. We have had our I.T. folks check it out and address the reset and such for future guests to have the best experience possible at this mountain Cabin.

Restorative Getaway

I loved the quiet, the hot tub and the short walk to the lake and "babbling" brook. The tree top view was breathtaking. The problem with the combination lock was quickly resolved by asking a neighbor for help and the owner promptly responded to my call. A great get away!

very cozy - even when there's no electricity!

The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. Unfortunately, we happened to stay here during the freak October snowfall. We lost power twice for approximately six hours each time - this is NOT a function of the cabin, just mother nature. Since we were essentially stranded due to road conditions and our car's abilities, we kept warm by the fire and enjoyed the incredible view. The property manager and neighbor were very helpful and made sure we were as comfortable as possible given the circumstances. We hope to go back! Next time we'll be sure to bring all the food and water we might need just in case.

Only thing it's missing is a hot tub

Two of us stayed at the Beau Ridge Cabin in October this year for a weekend, and it was a great little place. It is very small, but very cozy for a couple (4 adults would work, but it would be tight). It has a great fireplace, a stunning view, a functional kitchen, and comfy couches for curling up on and watching a movie. The location is within 5 minutes of wineries and within about 20 minutes of Shenandoah park. The cabin is clean and pretty well-appointed with towels, bedding, and kitchen supplies. The cabin is not isolated--you can see your neighbors, but it's quiet and easy to find.

The cabin was quaint, basic, very clean, in a lovely setting, great view. The wood burning fireplace made for great evenings after a long hike and trips to the wineries. Definitely would return to this cabin.

Perfect getaway for two!

The Mountain Top Cabin is the perfect getaway for a couple (or two). The place is quaint and clean and the view is spectacular. The location is in close proximity to wineries, orchards, Skyline Drive, and the town of Front Royal. We highly recommend this place!
