Nice Inside Cabin but Grounds Need Maintenance

June 17, 2013

The cabin is nice and quiet inside. There is a relaxing porch, however there is nothing special to enjoy outside. There was old furniture in the yard and I never saw a creek, maybe because of the debris piled up next to it. Also, there are only 2 restaurants in the area. Do not eat at Louisa's. My daughter was up all night throwing up from the BBQ sandwich she had there. Because of this, we weren't able to go to Grandfather Mtn (the purpose of our trip) until 3:00.. Lucikly my children loved Grandfather Mtn and we ended up having a wonderful day. We went to Linville Falls the next day and that was wonderful as well. I would advice driving the 40 minutes into Boone and eating at the Daniel Boone Restaurant.
