Description of the Litchfield vacation cottage rental

Make yourself at home in this charming, rustic camp located feet from the shores of Cobbosseecontee Stream in Litchfield, Maine. Enjoy quiet relaxation from the adirondack chairs, go fishing, canoe or kayak. The convenient location offers a serene setting yet is close to much that Maine has to offer.

Comfortable accommodations include a livingroom with open ceilings to a loft above. The lawn slopes gently down to the water, where the stream bed is shallow near shore. A woodstove keeps you toasty warm on cool fall mornings.

The camp sleeps up to nine with a queen bed, three fulls, and one twin. Linens, bath and kitchen towels and dishes are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. The kitchen has a refrigerator, electric stove, microwave and coffee maker. There is a TV and DVD player with an antenna for local channels. There is a gas grill outside.

The bathroom has a shower. The water is pulled from the stream so it is not safe to drink. It is fine for showers and washing dishes.

A canoe, paddles and lifejackets are provided. Small watercraft (canoes, kayaks and aluminum fishing boats) may be carried in to the water at the camp. There is a boat landing 10 minutes away for larger boats.

There is a fire pit and firewood is provided. Parking for up to 3 vehicles.

You will enjoy considerable privacy. The camp is privately owned and neighbor camps are privately owned as well. On the left, the camp is separated from the neighbor by a section of forest. On the right, it is separated by a strip of trees.

Our private vacation rental camp lets you get away from it all while still being within driving distance of much of what Maine has to offer.

Convenient Location
You will find yourself only 10 minutes from I-95 and centrally located for a short drive to Augusta or Lewiston. Freeport (L.L. Bean) is 30 min away; Camden/Rockport or Boothbay Harbor are one hour away; Portland and Old Orchard Beach are one hour, Popham Beach and Reid State Park is one hour; Bar Harbor (Acadia National Park) is two hours away.

• Deposits: A damage/reservation deposit of 50% of the total rental amount is required. This must be received at the time of booking the reservation and the reservation is not considered booked until the deposit is received. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the provisions in the rental agreement are met.
