Description of the Livermore vacation guesthouse rental
No Pet Policy! We have created at relaxing setting for an unplugged retreat at our original farmhouse purchased in 1865, seven generations ago. The Bradford Boothby farmhouse is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Feel free to immerse yourself in its history and all the land has to offer or use it as a homebase from which to tour the state of Maine. We are located just over an hour from the Portland Jetport, Sugarloaf and Sunday River ski areas, coastal destinations, LL Bean in Freeport and plenty of outdoor recreation areas. We are about 3hours from Boston.
This is not a bed and breakfast but your nostalgic kitchen is well-equipped for cooking. There is a generous deck equipped with a gas grill and rocking chairs to enjoy your favorite book, warm summer breezes, brisk fall days and amazing evening skies.
The house is adjacent to our working, family owned orchard and you will have exclusive access to over 1000 acres of field, forest, orchard, pastures and two farm ponds, home to all kinds of wildlife. At the lower pond your can picnic by the orchard, explore our little cabin, kayak with our resident loons and beavers or try your hand at some small-time fishing. You can walk, snowshoe or cross country ski through the woods or find some old farm treasure in now abandoned fields. You are welcome to participate in seasonal farming activities including apple tree pruning in winter, harvesting your own Christmas tree, feeding chickens and gathering eggs, haying berrying, planting, maple syruping, harvesting fresh sweet corn and other produce and of course apple picking! We welcome your ideas to make this a memorable experience for you and your family.

Area Information
Livermore is a very quiet town of about 2000 souls, in the Androscoggin River Valley and is part of the gateway to the Western Lakes and Mountain Region. We are about equidistant to the small cities of Lewiston-Auburn, Augusta, Farmington and Rumford; 30 miles. We are just two miles away from the Norlands Living History Center and a half hour to the University of Maine at Farmington.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities
Plenty of outdoors activities, great place to bring mountain bikes, kids will love exploring the farm. Spruce Mountain is a small mountain about 10 minutes away, with tow ropes only. At $14.00 a day, its a perfect place to learn to ski.

Wonderful family vacation!

Not only was the home stocked with fresh farm food, books and toys for children, and everything you would need for cooking, etc., it was extremely comfortable as well. Also, Rob and Denise were so kind. They opened our farm to us for apple and pumpkin picking, exploring, and tractor rides. They also provided us with facts about the town and great places to see and eat. If you are looking for a country quiet (very quietl) family or romantic getaway I would highly recommend this stay.
