Ideal for an affordable family vacation or romantic getaway in the northeast coast of Puerto Rico, where the most beautiful beaches are located like Luquillo Beach. Within 5-15 minutes of golf courses, casinos, horse race track, bike trail, restaurants, shopping mall (Beltz Outlets), and the world famous attraction El Yunque Rain Forest (waterfalls and natural swimming pools). Just minutes away form the town of Fajardo with ferries to the islands of Culebra and Vieques.

Some of the most typical food in the island is found on the way to Villas del mar. If you are driving along the coastline (Pinones) you will find a number of kiosks with wood-burning open fires and large kettles specializing in seafood dishes such as crab meat and lobster tacos. Juan…thanks again for your cordial service and wonderful apartment rental. The unit was just as advertised – clean and comfortable, a perfect place to rest by one of the three beautiful pools, walk the empty beach, and mingle with the friendly Puerto Rican vacationers. I must say, I was a bit jealous of how much fun they had on their Easter Holiday weekend. Extended family and friends who seemed so happy and carefree…the neighbors had a continuous dominos game all weekend long! My only regret is that we did not speak Spanish and could not get to know the other families like we would have liked. I may just get a DVD language course before my next trip…it would definitely make travel more enriching. We spent two days in Old San Juan – what a city – and spent one day driving to and from the caverns. Wow! What a treasure they are! We also loved our hike in the El Yunke rain forest. But our kids like the pools, and we liked the beach and the Bacardi, so we spent a lot of time just hanging out at the condo. I also appreciated your phone calls to keep in touch while we were there. I purposely left my phone off most of the time, as it is my link to my working world, but it was nice to know that you were available if we needed you.
