Can't ask for a better place to stay & experience

June 19, 2011

This is our second time staying at this flat, we love it and we would rent it the next time we're in London without question. Cynthia and Suzie are amazing. I emailed them a couple of times and always got responses very quickly. Both are very professional and super friendly. You won't be disappointed. We traveled with our little kids and we had no problems at all staying there. The flat was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. The flat is located so close to Covent Garden that we were there nearly every day. It's close to the tube as well so getting around was very easy. Thanks again Cynthia and Suzie.

Great location, bad timing

May 25, 2011

As mentioned by other reviewers, the area in which the apartment is situated is ideal for exploring London. The apartment itself is well-maintained and has most basic amenities you would need for cooking and cleaning if you wish to do so. You certainly cannot beat the accomodations for the price given the location. The only reason I did not give the review 5 stars was because during my stay there was construction taking place right outside the building. if you are a light sleeper, be warned that there might be work being done to the street outside in the morning that could have you waking up a little earlier than expected. Fantastic Location

May 18, 2011

My Husband and I stayed her for 9 days. The only reason we chose this apartment was because of the location. The location is just fantastic, almost everything we wanted was within walk able distance, British museum, Trafalgar square, theatre district. Plenty of good restaurants and Pubs in the vicinity. We literally walked down to Leicester Square to the half price tickets booth, picked up tickets ate at China town walked up to National Portrait gallery and caught the 7:30pm show, ate dinner at Hawksmoore and walked back to the apartment! In my opinion, this apartment is best suited for a couple or a small family of 3. Cynthia and Sue were great, the booking process was a breeze. The keys were FedExd to us before we head out to London with plenty of information about the neighborhood etc. The only reason I am giving this apartment 4 stars is because it is a bit shabby, as in worn out. The place is clean, but I felt there was too much clutter in addition the bedroom closet doesn't have a door , it has a table inside it which was very odd. The bathroom entrance is via the bedroom, and it does not have cross a fan. On both Saturday nights it was noisy. There are 2 flats upstairs, could hear people talking while walking up, thumping on the stairs etc. The club "Tamari" across was open for "clubbers" till past 3am, and was loud. If you can look past/ work around these minor 'defects' you will have a good stay. In spite of all this I would stay here again, just for the location and excellent service both Cynthia and Sue provided.

Nothing much on the outside but much better on the

May 13, 2011

Nothing much on the outside but much better on the inside. The exterior of the apartment and the corridors left much to be desired. However, through the door, one was magically transported into the world of a Russian intelligent. Things were thoughtfully laid out and there was ample space save in the all-important kitchen but a very nicely laid out flat. Close to Paddington and Royal Oak Underground stations which is desirable and helpful. Very close to a supermarket and the ethic eateries of Notting Hill. All in all an excellent experience.

Excellent location

February 20, 2011

I stayed at the apartment for a week with my wife and 3 year old son. The apartment is in a great location in the centre of the city, with all sorts of conveniences in the surrounding streets (supermarkets, food, shoping and easy access to the tube) and the benefits of home (kitchen, washing machine etc). It was great for travelling with a small child - large lounge room with bed meant he wasn't on top of us all the time and we weren;t crowded for space. It was also a pleasure dealing with Cynthia and Suzie. The only thing to be aware of is that the apartment is not ultra modern, so you should not expect that. We will no doubt stay again.

Great location, nice flat

October 24, 2010

I stayed here for 10 days with my wife, 4-year-old son and 8-month-old daughter. The location was perfect, since it is within walking distance of the British Museum, Trafalgar Square, and the Strand. The flat was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. Even sleeping in the living room it wasn't terribly noisy, and it was quiet in the bedroom. I'd recommend it.

Wouldn't recommend

October 13, 2010

When we arrived in London after our 15-hour day of travel, we were left waiting in the rain for 1/2 hour in front of the flat we'd rented before we flagged down a pedestrian and asked to borrow their phone. When we contacted the owners, we were informed that they had changed our flat due to bedbugs (no email, no phone call, no meeting - I don't know how they expected us to know about the switch!) We walked to the new flat and found a 4-flight stair climb in pitch darkness awaiting us as they were having an electrical issue in the building. No flashlight was ever provided, though the electrical issue was solved after a couple days. The walls of the stairway were coated in mold and the flat, though fairly nice otherwise, smelled kind of moldy. The "flower-covered" balcony had lots of pots of dead plants. The dresser drawers in one bedroom could not be opened. Bits of debris, and other materials were in closets and drawers. The washing machine was filled with standing water. The shower, beds and furniture were nice. The small gas fireplace warmed the place up and got rid of some of the bad smell. The computer and desk were very good. The kitchen was bright and fairly well-appointed. We were not offered any compensation or even an apology for the wait in the rain (we had set an appointment time prior to our departure from the USA) or for the dangerous and dark stairway. The cleaning fee was very high. We, sadly, would not recommend these rental flats to anyone else.

Great faciltities in a central location

July 24, 2010

We chose this apartment for its central location and were pleased to find a flat decorated with quirky character (what the owners describe as eclectic ambience)and also with a well equipped kitchen (full oven, stove, and range of utensils) and appreciated all the touring info, maps and guide books that were at hand as well as other books to browse. We found it quite spacious for 2 adults and a 15 year old - the bed in the living area folds up to the wall during the day - but even when it is down, the other half of the room provides plenty of space for dining. Cynthia was great to deal with - sent lots of useful info about the flat and the surrounding area before hand and kept us very well informated about the arrangements to forward the key before we arrived. Flat was reasoanbly priced given its location and the savings in being able to self-cater some meals and the convenience and cost savings of having WIFI access and a washing machine . Would certainly recommend.

great space and good location

November 15, 2009

This was a last minute decision and the flat turned out to be just right. Reasonable price for area and the location could not have been better. 4 minutes from the British Museum and access to three Tube entrances. Good restaurants, shops and pubs right there. Would come back again.

Another great flat

January 25, 2009

The location of the flat is great. We took the tube from the airport no problem. This is the 2nd flat we stayed at in London that Su is partners with and they've both been very comfortable. Both Cynthia and Su provided everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and when we contacted Su with questions she always got back to us with the answer. We had a luggage delay and the mananger of the resturant - Takari received and kept it for us until we returned from dinner. We would stay here again if ever in London.

comfortable & great location

November 2, 2008

My friend & I stayed in this flat for a week. Location was great -- convenient to multiple tube stations, tourist attractions, grocery stores, restaurants, pubs, etc. Flat itself was very comfortable for 2 people. Nice linens. Kitchen had basic ammenities and was perfect for our needs. Murphy bed was comfortable (so I am told -- I didn't sleep in it), but sleeping in living room was apparently a bit noisy. I couldn't hear anything from the back bedroom. Perhaps a bit small for 4 people, but you could manage. Cynthia was great to deal with -- very thorough. I felt very comfortable renting from her with all the help and information she provided. Would definitely recommend this flat and would certainly stay here again.

Like staying at a friend's place

October 21, 2008

I stayed in a different property managed by the same team, for ten days in September '08 and my review talked about how great it was dealing with Cynthia so she asked me to say something here as well - I was coming from the other side of the world and it really did feel like I was going to be minding a friend's place. The attention to detail and personal service is really a point of difference and Cynthia wants to make sure you have a great stay and know your way around the neighbourhood. So she sends you a comprehensive guide, plus you can email any questions, and you can really feel comfortable in your choice before you even get there.

Ideal location for theatre, Covent Garden and other sites. Worked well for us visiting our son who was performing in Gone With The Wind at the New London Theatre - right across the street!! Will definitely be returning along with other friends. Extremely comfortable beds - had the best sleep ever. Special thanks to Cynthia and Suzie for all their assistance. It was truly a remarkable experience for our family.

Great London experience!

January 24, 2008

My son and I recently spent 5 days at this wonderful flat. It was neat, clean and perfectly located close to many sights and the tube. It is a great place to stay-so much more comfortable than a hotel and more cost effective also. The only problem was the washer door was broken, but Cynthia graciously offered to reimburse us for local laundry service. I can not say enough about the fantastic service provided by Cynthia. She provided valuable info about the local area and was very responsive to each and every inquiry I made before and during the trip. I would come back here in a heartbeat!

Un apartamento para recomendar

February 25, 2007
