The palace was the childhood home of Henry VIII and birthplace of Elisabeth I (14th century Tudor Hall remains). It now includes a magnificent art deco house, considered the finest in England set within the moated grounds. The palace and its beautiful gardens are open to visitors. Nearby, ancient Greenwich welcomes visitors to the Cutty Sark, Royal Observatory, Maritime Naval Museum, magnificent Royal Park, Zero Meridian, famous market. Central London and West End is just 25 minutes by train with a regular service (every 15 min) from 2 local train stations just 10 minutes walk, or a boat from Greenwich to Westminster.
