Description of the London vacation apartment rental
This large and bright studio is located on the third floor (American fourth - with elevator) of a secure and well-maintained purpose built block. There is over 400 sq.ft. of living space comprising of a reception room, a separate king size sleeping area, a modern bathroom (shower over bath tub) and separate kitchen. It is neutrally decorated with maple floors and good quality furnishings.
The king size sleeping area (with hypoallergenic mattress) can be divided from the main reception room with the floor-to-ceiling curtains. If required, a double air-bed and extra linens may be provided.
The apartment block is situated on the beautiful and tranquil gardens of St. George’s Square (SW1V 3QU) and right next to all the amenities of Dolphin Square, including: gym, swimming pool, squash courts, bar, shops and ATM. Pimlico tube station is within a 3minute walk away.
We supply complimentary toiletries and a welcome hamper for all our guests. There is also a library of London related books and DVDs in the apartment. Please do let us know if there is anything that we can do to make your trip more special.
Area Description
Pimlico is a very attractive and safe residential area in the centre of London. It is well-served by local bars, restaurants and boutiques whilst being close to both the West End and Knightsbridge/Chelsea. The apartment is also within a pleasant walk from the Tate Britain Gallery, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament.
The area is well known for its beautiful Georgian architecture. For more on the area's history, Wikipedia has comprehensive entries for both Pimlico and St. George's Square - London's only residential square to open out onto the River Thames.
The apartment is very close to Pimlico tube, which is served by the Victoria line. Victoria mainline station is a 12-15 minute walk away and there are a number of buses serving the area.
