Vacation Rental Description

This is one of the few original historic (1900) Barnegat Light, LBI, houses that has just (2006) been completely renovated and added on to. It now has two faces: The front is a 1900's shingled house, while the back is a contemporary beach house with five decks and views of the ocean, inlet, and bay from the top two.

This Barnegat Light house has the original wood-panelled front porch, a new kitchen, a dining room, in addition to living room, upstairs den, four bedrooms, two baths, and a private garden.

The house, which is on the northern tip of Barnegat Light, LBI,is an easy house for families to share because of the separate living spaces (living room, upstairs den, front porch) and 5 separate decks + garden. And then there is a big kitchen and separate dining room for everyone to come together.

The beach is at the end of our lovely block. The bay is two blocks away. The house is at the quiet, historic end of Barnegat Light, and you can see the Lighthouse from many of our windows.

A perfect vacation spot.

Area Description

Barnegat Light is at the northern tip of Long Beach Island, NJ. This is a barrier island, for the most part two blocks wide, with the bay on one side and the ocean on the other.

Barnegat Light is a very small town of houses (no high rises--there is a height limit of 30 feet) and very wide sand beaches (dunes, no boardwalk).
