Description of the Long Caye vacation home rental
Calypso Beach Retreat is a beachfront island getaway with incredible diving, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking and relaxing. We are located on Long Caye in the Lighthouse Reef Atoll, Belize.
The resort is close to The Blue Hole, Half Moon Caye National Park and the reef which is known for some of the best diving, snorkeling and fishing in Belize. You can also kayak, birdwatch, hike trails and boardwalks, swim, relax, play beach volleyball, have bonfires on the beach, enjoy great Belizean cooking, watch beautiful sunrises, stargaze, watch iguanas and crabs, enjoy the view, kite surf, and beachcomb.
We can accommodate groups of 2 to 20. We have 4 beachfront rooms with private baths. Room 1 has 1 Queen and 3 large Bunk Beds and sleeps 8. Room 2 has 1 Queen and 1 bunk bed and sleeps 4. Room 4 has 2 Queen beds. Room 4 has1 Queen Bed and 1 Queen futon sleeper.
Calypso is great for Honeymooners and couples, families, groups, family reunions, youth groups, groups of friends, small weddings and divers and dive groups.
The resort is eco-friendly. The power is generated from solar, and the water is collected from rain catchment and filtration. Calypso is built from beautiful Belizean hardwoods and decorated with local art and a comfortable and romantic tropical feel.
There is a central area with a Kitchen and eating/meeting area. Jennifer is your host and will take incredible care of you. Jennifer is a great Belizean cook with a warm and fun personality. Everyone loves Jennifer. She will make you smile and make your belly happy. Enjoy fresh seafood, Belizean chicken and rice and beans, Fry Jacks, Conch Fritters, coconut rice from fresh coconuts from the island.
Many guests have claimed this was their best vacation ever. Avid divers say we have some of the best diving in the world.
