Take the wooden walkway to swim in azure blue warm gulf waters. Both pools are heated - family and adult with a Jacuzzi and a heated outdoor shower. In the clubhouse there's a sauna, an exercise room with resistance & cardio equipment, men's & women's locker rooms with showers, and a library to loan you books for the beach. Meet neighbors and socialize at the cocktail hour in the clubhouse held twice a week. Entertain new friends in your spacious 1460 sq.ft. centrally air conditioned condo at exclusively beachfront Club Longboat. The study converts to 3rd completely private guest bedroom. DESIGN AND SITUATION.
Walk past the ancient and annual nests of the sea turtles. The gulf breeze blows through the sea grasses and grapes, pine trees and adjacent forest, and onto the gulf side tennis courts. This more intelligently sited, designed, and sized 85 unit complex has as many units as others have floors. Attractive and stylistically unique on the island, Club Longboat is better in both aspect and function than the row upon rows of high population, high rise boxes plopped onto the beach. Celebrating beachfront tennis and an outdoor lifestyle, apartments feature a screened lanai, two large balconies, and floor to ceiling windows with large sliding glass doors inviting the outdoors inside. Public and private zones are separated by a U shaped configuration for entertaining friends. Very few rental units are available.

Elder and family friendly, your well appointed, gulf side, beach view, spacious and quiet end unit condo is located on the top (3rd) floor and serviced by elevators and stairs. It is bordered by a mature woods that are home to snowy egret, white ibis, great blue heron, osprey and song birds who visit our beaches, pool and sometimes your large furnished balconies. The first balcony, off the living room, is sometimes shared by an errant heron. The second is off the king master suite with large TV DVR, his and hers dressers and private full bath down the large closet lined dressing corridor. Master and balcony overlook the woods, tennis courts, and gulf beach views. Open the slider, turn the ceiling fan on low, and drift off to the sound of the surf. Sleep in the delicious gulf night air. Moonlight shines onto your bed. A small red headed bird pecks at his reflection in the mourning. Hotel quality linens, towels, bathrobes. The second bedroom has TV and DVR, twin beds that can convert to a king and second full bath across the front corridor. Washer dryer, iron and board, cleaning appliances are in the service closet. The study with large custom built desk opens onto a screened furnished gulf and court view lanai. The study also converts to a 3rd completely private guest bedroom with an accordion folding wall and a comfy sofa/sleeper queen. Mourning coffee on the balcony, lanai or on the beach? The separate entry has closet and beach credenza containing beach towels, coolers, picnic basket, tennis and beach supplies. The entry opens into the large full "cook's" kitchen with glass top stove, microwave, full refrigerator with ice maker, double sink with disposal, dishwasher, trash compactor, and all entertaining and cooking, appliances, service, and beach plastic ware, including acrylic wine goblets for the Jacuzzi -of course! Separate formal dining area with wine rack seats six. Handsomely furnished living room with leather full sofa and love seat, couch for two and ottoman opens onto balcony and has woods, court, pool and gulf beach views. Large lighted entertainment unit with digital cable TV, DVR, VTR, Bose Acoustimass sound system, CD/FM/ Stereo with i-pod jack, CD, video and book library.

Amenities enjoyed without charge include: Tennis (court shoes and clothes required), and a court side gazebo for watching; After tennis, take a swim or go shelling in the gulf from our private beach. Watch dolphins and heron from our beach lounges with umbrellas, picnic tables, outdoor showers; Adult and family heated pools, jacuzzi spa and sauna; Fitness room with cardio and resistance equip; Men's & women's locker rooms with shower; Play court; Lawn furniture groups; Pavered walkways; Mature lushly landscaped grounds. High speed wireless cable internet and local telephone service. Assigned covered parking with equipped beach closet: chairs, coolers, grill, boogie boards, little chairs for little ones, sand toys, life preservers, floats, boccie ball and, of course, Frisbee! In season there is the infamous twice weekly social/cocktail hour "Club Longboat Bottle Club" in the Clubhouse, where else? WALK:
Down your beach for excellent shelling, green flash at sunset OR five minutes to the Hilton for wave runner and Hobie Cat rentals, sunset cocktails and entertainment. Up the street side pathway to any of five great restaurants. Euphemia-Haye, Harry's and Pattigeorge's restaurants are just .7 mile.
BICYCLE:
Rental down the street. Path and bike lanes runs the island.
BUS:
Longboat Key & Anna Maria Island Trolley have a stop right in front of our building, connecting to 2 County Bus systems. 5 minute ride to super markets, shopping, restaurants, and Anna Maria Island. 20 minutes to St. Armands Circle, or Bradenton. 30 to Sarasota, and 15 more to airport.
DRIVE:
Longboat Key AND Anna Maria Island... Two minutes to The Center Shops, 5 excellent restaurants, or Cannon's Marina; Four minutes to Publix Supermarket, Moore's Stone Crab Restaurant or Anna Maria Island; Ten minutes to boat, sail, para sail, fish, scuba & snorkel on the gulf or bay. Twelve minutes to the Charthouse, Lido Key, and St. Armand's Circle; Fifteen minutes to golf courses where you are welcome to play.

Our family of 4 (2 adults / 2 teen aged girls) had a wonderful stay at Club Longboat Beach & Tennis #131. The home had everything we needed even sheets and beach towels. The kitchen was fully equipped w/pots pans & appliances. Televisions in every bedroom and internet access. The location, just steps to the beach, was perfect. Home is tastefully decorated with all the amenities needed. The pool area is a fun gathering place. There are several restaurants from which to choose. It was a pleasure to deal with the very helpful owner. We would definitely recommend Longboat Beach & Tennis as a place to rent when vacationing in Florida.
