Lovely Longboat Key Getaway

Our stay could not have been more wonderful. Everything we could need was available in the unit. We found it very nice and clean, and even though our unit faced the street we could see the sunrise on the bay side from our balcony. There are plenty of tables both on the patio and in the lobby area and we had guests one night (another couple) and enjoyed eating in the enclosed lobby and watching the sunset. Never used the pool but it was always clean. Appreciated the chaise lounges. The staff was very helpful with any questions that we had. In addition to the basics our unit had a nice assortment of movies on DVD and a library to suit just about any taste in reading. There were also a lot of books in the lobby. We can't wait to go back again to enjoy the sun and surf from sunrise to sunset!

Honestly, we didn't think we were 'snow birds', at least not the kind that settled in one spot. We usually flitted around in Costa Rica, Mexico, or spots in Europe. But we were so truly pleasantly surprised by our stay at #2, 707 St. Judes! It was peaceful, quiet and the neighbours helpful, yet unobtrusive. The area was perfect for cycling, walking and close enough to other areas to explore. Beaches....well, lots of them and each and every one better than the next. I think we've found a piece of paradise. Thanks, Terry and Patti, for making it a home away from home.

A wonder winter vacation on LBK

This was a first time on LBK and the area exceeded our expectations. The condo was reasonably priced and a good value for our limited needs. I had a number of contacts with the owner Terry, and he was always very friendly and helpful. The condo is located on a private street next to the beautiful Durante nature park and across the street from miles of public beach on the Gulf of Mexico where we spent evenings walking, meetings visitors and watching exotic birds and gorgeous sunsets. The condo is a clean, well- maintained and furnished one bedroom unit which met our needs for a home base. We met friendly neighbors who were welcoming and helpful in orienting us to the area. The condo is centrally located on LBK and there are a variety of restaurants on the island and many more at St. Armands Circle and in Sarasota. There is also a Publix market, library, public tennis courts down the road and opportunities for fitness, pool and tennis at the Cedars on the next street. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend both LBK and the condo at 707 St. Judes.

"Hi Terry and Patti, We've arrived and settled in at 707 S. St Judes Dr. and couldn't be happier. What a comfortable spot- it felt like home right away! We're slowly getting to know the neighbourhood and have walked the beach at sunset and the Joan Durante park at daybreak. Couldn't ask for anything more. We truely feel like we've found a home away from home.

The only complaint I have about our stay at St. Judes is that it was only for one week. That was just long enough to get the feel for the area. Next year we hope to stay longer.
The beach was perfect. The Park walks in the A.M. out to the bay were dreamy. The condo was clean and very comfortable. Thanks. See you next year

Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Very quiet to be so close to everything. The nature preserve was excellent for morning and evening walks to the bay after a great day on the beach.
Thanks for every thing. Never want to leave but real life beckons
