Beautiful 3rd floor 2BR/2BR unit #309, overlooking pool, in Sand Cay Beach Resort on the exclusive island of Longboat Key.
South facing balcony. Striking views of the beach from the balcony, and a glimpse of the bay from the bedrooms.
The condo was renovated and updated in 2009. Cathedral ceilings throughout, bright open kitchen with corian countertops, refrigerator with ice and water dispenser.
Master Bathroom with walk in shower.
Free wireless internet, extra place with writing desk. Free washer/dryer on site.
Easy elevator access.

Only steps to the heated pool, tennis court and shuffleboard.
Barbecue places are located close to the beach.
The resort has direct access to the wonderful white sandy beach of the Gulf of Mexico with plenty of beach chairs. Soft access into the gulf, or walk on the beach for up to 12 miles watching birds or dolphins passing by.

Area Information

Several town parks with nature walks on Longboat Key, the Mote Marine Aquarium with cruises in the Sarasota Bay and attractions for children, St. Armand´s Circle with exclusive shopping and dining. It is a short drive to downtown Sarasota with museums (Ringling museum, Classic Car Museum), Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, a wonderful botanical garden and many more interesting attractions, shops and restaurants.
30-45 minutes to Myakka River State Park
In St. Petersburg and Tampa (about 60-75min to drive) you find famous attractions like Busch Gardens, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Salvador Dali Museum.

To the international airports of Tampa or Fort Myers you drive in about 90 minutes.

Best Beach Resort on Longboat..

A great location with shops, restaurants and all you may need within easy reach. Very helpfull staf, lovely pool and free laundry thrown in. The Lazy Lobster is a must do, also Sarasota has loads to offer. Theatre, Ballet, Museums shopping and great food. Go there and you will enjoy a super vacation.

Enjoyed our stay for the week. Your condo is lovely, furnished attractively and in a great overall location along the key. Beach views were fine. Didn't expect to have to launder our towels; for a week long stay, it uses up too much time. We simply went out and bought a few inexpensive ones. The unit (maybe the building), had roaches (palmetto bugs), in it, and an uunpleasant odor hit us down stairs on the way to our car each day. However, Sand Cay is attractive, has a good pool, and access to the beach was easy.

We Came Back

Although we live on the mainland in Sarasota we like to take time away from our home and work to relax at the beautiful beach. After searching for a place lacking crowds of people we found this gem at Sunset Cay. Sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee in the morning takes us to another world from our home across the bay. The size and decor of the unit is very appealing and there is everything you need to feel "at home". We stay in touch with the outside world using the efficient wi-fi. Restaurants and groceries are near-by. Walks on the uncrowded beach at sunset ends a perfect day.

We really loved this beautiful condo with open kitchen and bright airy rooms with Cathedral ceilings. The resort is very well-kept with a large heated pool and a barbecue area at the beach. Daily we enjoyed the wide sandy beach where you find lots of seashells, plenty of beach chairs and incredible sunsets! Everything exceeded our expectations. Will be back for sure!
