Description of the Longboat Key vacation home rental

Single family home rancher. Carpeted and well appointed, wrought iron beds in all 3 rooms. Living room looks out onto the canal in rear of house. On the western side of the house is a private caged heated pool. On the eastern side of house is sodded grass open area. One car garage. Two adult bikes, three-person canoe, fishing poles on-site. Just a short four minute walk to the Gulf of Mexico beach. Wooden deck over the canal in backyard.

Area Description

The Gulf of Mexico Drive runs north to south parallel to the ocean. The house is one block off of the Gulf of Mexico Drive. The deeded beach access is right at the Gulf of Mexico Drive. A five minute drive north will reach you at Bradenton Beach. The Joan Durante State Park is one block south of this house. Driving south for ten minutes will reach you to the Mote Marine Aquarium, St. Armands Circle and Lido Beach. Another five minute drive will reach you over the causeway into downtown Sarasota. There you can visit many cultural sights such as the Ringling Art Museum and Antique Car Museum, just to name a few. Many fun things to do such as rent a boat and dock it on the boatlift in the backyard of the house. The neighborhood is casual, friendly, quiet. Standing in the front yard, you can sometimes hear the ocean waves which are a block away.

There are two adult bikes in garage for your use. If more bikes are needed, there is a bike rental at the minimall at beginning of street. You can also rent kayaks at the bike shop. There is also a convenience store, Italian restaurant, barber, art shop at the minimall. Full service marina is four blocks north of Gulf of Mexico Dr. Boat rentals can be arranged to pick you up at your private deck in the back yard.

Payment Options: Cashier's Check, Money Order, Personal Check
Check In: 2 p.m.
Check Out: 11 a.m.
Required Stay: Saturday to Saturday
Lodging Tax: 11%
Deposits: Deposit is 50% at time of booking. Remaining 50% will be due thirty days prior to check in.
Other Fees: Security deposit is $500.00 and is due two weeks prior to reserved dates. Pet deposit on individual basis Cleaning fee of $100.00

We had a wonderful time. The house was larger than the pictures look and very charming. We brought our boat over and made use of the lift. The canal is 5 steps from the back door. We met several of the neighbors who were all very friendly - We could have stayed forever. There is nothing like watching the sunset from Beer Can (Greer) Island!!

Pictures did not do the home justice. The living room was much larger and nicer then I expected. My grandchildren loved the attached heated pool and east access to the gulf. Quiet neighborhood, one floor and good internet access. All made for a great vacation.
