There are 6-7 terrific restaurants within walking distance, several are Michelin rated. A short 15-minute drive takes you to the world famous St. Armands Circle international shopping and dining experience. Or just grill at home.

Area Description

There are many convenient flights to Tampa (45 minutes), and Sarasota/Bradenton (15 minutes)from airports throughout the United States and Europe.

Longboat Key is part of a string of barrier islands off the coast of Sarasota on the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The island is only 11 miles long and less than 1/8 mile wide in some places. Enjoy lazy beach reading OR fishing, kayaking, tennis, golf, shelling...you decide.

Sarasota is truly the cultural center of the Gold Coast of Florida. Tour the Ringling Museum, enjoy the Selby Botanical Gardens, take in a show at the Van Weizel Theatre, or visit the Mote Aquarium. All of these fabulous places and more can easily by found on the internet.
