Description of the Longboat Key vacation home rental

This precious cottage has incredible views of Sarasota Bay and is just a few blocks walk to the aquamarine white sand beaches of the Gulf. There is a private dock and boat mooring with a sandy beach for parking your kayak or letting your dog swim (Public Gulf beaches don't allow dogs) along the shore.

The house has the original pine wood floors in the living areas and paneling in the den. Central AC/heat along with ceiling fans in every room. Windows galore create lots of natural light and beautiful views from every room. Master bedroom has a king bed, new plush carpet, wall-mounted flat screen cable TV, rear door entrance to patio and carport. Guest bedroom has a queen bed and both rooms have large dressers.

Dining table can seat up to 6 people and living room has a overstuffed couch and love seat with another TV. Kitchen has most everything you need in regards to dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator/freezer and even a martini shaker! Stereo, DVD, VCR, linens and bath towels are provided, also. The back patio has a gas and charcoal grill along with an outdoor shower. The front porch is where everyone "lives" due to the incredible views of the water, sail boats, palm trees and serenity.

The house is located in historic Longboat Key Village which lies between the Gulf Beaches and Sarasota Bay. The neighborhood is quaint, peaceful and safe with people walking along the shore, riding bicycles, fishing, swimming, boating and jogging. There are 2 waterfront restaurants with outdoor dining a half block away and all the beach activities you want including jet skis, parasailing, charter fishing, surfing, etc... Anna Maria Island is 15 minutes to the north and Sarasota is 15 minutes to the south.

The area has lots of snowbirds that come down every year, retirees, family vacationers, couples on honeymoons...something for everyone. Come live the good life and reduce your blood pressure while you have a restful vacation!

If you have your own boat, you can moor it at the house and take off for a cruise or fishing on the intercoastal, Sarasota Bay, Longboat Pass or the Gulf of Mexico. If you don't have a boat, we can tell you where to rent one. Whitney Beach (and car parking) is just a 3 block walk or bike ride up the road where you will find beautiful white sand beaches and clear blue water. Any kind of water sport activities are available up and down the coastline.

There is a free trolley that runs up and down Gulf Drive from St. Armand's Circle in Sarasota to the north end of Anna Maria Island and all points inbetween. There are tons of outdoor dining restaurants, many with waterfront views and every kind of cuisine for both couples and families.

If you want to go to an amusement park, Busch Gardens is about an hour and a half away in Tampa and Orlando is a 3 hour drive.

• Other Fees: Will accept dog guests, but require a $100 non-refundable pet fee. Due to allergies, no cats can be accommodated.
