Description of the Los Angeles vacation home rental

8152 Kirkwood Drive: 2 Bedrooms plus office/ sleeping area, Wifi, 2 Flat Screen TV's with HD, all appliances, including washer dryer and landline phone (back to being important again with sketchy reception in Los Angeles!). Heart of Los Angeles, nestled in Historical Laurel Canyon.

Environmentally Sensitive Amenities. Wood deck, patio, full of light, set in the trees and hillside of Laurel Canyon. Feels like home. Welcome.
Very bright (with many windows, french doors and skylight), beautifully furnished and decorated home located in the Hollywood Hills on Kirkwood. Tri-level home with two bedrooms and two baths plus an office with futon for additional sleeping. Gorgeous, private, and terraced patio on the upper level through french doors off the first bedroom, as well as an additional patio with patio seating and table for four. Floors: upper level living room and bedrooms are hard wood and downstairs kitchen and office area gorgeous rock floors. Laundry room with washer and dryer. High ceilings throughout, wood beamed ceilings in kitchen, lots of windows and french doors. French doors in bedroom one (as well as skylight and picture window), living room and kitchen. Balconies off kitchen. Queen-size bed in one bedroom, California King sized bed in other, plus full size futon in office for additional sleeping. Garage parking is available for longer term guests, otherwise it is easiest to park in front of the garage which is designated for you. The living room is on its own level as well and happily sleeps a guest or two. We have additional sleeping arrangements for the "extra" people in your group (aerobeds, futons, pack and play and portable children's bed). Just ask.

Area Information

It's hard to believe that you are in the perfect Los Angeles location- close to all of the studios, Malibu, the Westside and the Valley. It is just miles from either LAX or Burbank Airport and a beautiful drive along Sunset Boulevard to the beach in Malibu. We have a handy online guide for you.

Don't forget to walk down to the canyon country store for deli sandwiches, wine or coffee from Lily. There's also famous Pace, where you are likely to see celebs in the amazingly "local" and well appointed restaurant.

Beaches: Southern California has many beaches to choose from but here is an article about our 5 favorite beaches, courtesy of Daily Candy- we just happen to agree! The easiest and prettiest way to the Ocean? Just head down the hill and turn right on Sunset Blvd. you will be heading west and will run straight into Malibu while taking in the sights of Bel Air an Brentwood Neighborhoods. The less scenic, but faster route to the water? Turn right on Sunset Blvd., then left on La Cienega to the 10 Freeway. Go west and Exit at 4th Street. Make a left, then turn right on Pico (there is a gas station there). You will see the water and make your choice (this drops you off the in Casa Del Mar/Santa Monica Pier/ Venice Beach areas. Keep in mind, the freeways are never faster if you are traveling during traffic times. And that includes late weekend mornings when it is sunny in LA.

What a wonderful place to stay for a family vacation. Close to everything yet so far away. Outstanding service from the owner/property manager made for a vacation to remember, clean, well maintained and safe. Well worth the extra money to skip the hotel and experience the exclusive atmosphere of the Hollywood Hills. Don't miss the Country Store down the street, Carney's restaraunt, the drive on Mulholland, and the Beverly Hills sites only minutes away!!..Highly Recommend this property and this rental host.
