Description of the Lummi Island vacation cottage rental

VERY ROMANTIC , VERY RUSTIC pet friendly cedar cottage with a great view of the water and the snow capped mountains . nestled in the woods on a hillside . There are lots of steps and some might find it a challenge VERY private , VERY quiet !
relax in the driftwood rocking chairs by the REAL wood burning fire in the pot bellied wood stove . Hike the woods
then soak in the private outside Japenese redwood soaking hot tub( authentically heated by firewood ) bath robes furnised ,listen to the fire crackle and the Zen garden fountains splashing as you soak under the stars .Enjoy the GREAT sunrises ! enjoy the fresh coffee and teas while catching the sun rise across the water Wireless interent so you can have you lap top on the deck with coffee Pancake mix syrups &eggs provided for you to fix breakfast of course there is corkscrew provided for your wine in the fully furnished kitchen overlooking the water . Cable TV and movies provided Wood and rock flooring (no carpeting anywhere ) Outside smoking area
and woods for your dog to run free !

Lummi Island is reached by a short ten minute ferry boat thats only $10.00 round trip with your car , leaves twice an hour . Easiest of the San JuanIslands to get to , yet a world away from the mainland .22 miles from Bellingham
Fresh eggs are sold on stands along the road ,bring your bike circle the islnd , very little car traffic watch for the deer on the roads !

My husband and I had a four day retreat here and loved the seclusion, the beautiful view of Mt. Baker and the cozy cottage. I spent most of the time snuggled on the day bed by the wood stove. We enjoyed the wood heated hot tub, but if you want instant gratification, it's probably not for you. For us it was an adventure. I wrote a more detailed review on my blog. Only stayed for two nights, but absolutely loved it. Charming location, comfortable cottage. We hope to come back for a longer stay soon.

We spent 3 relaxing weeks here and loved it. The view of the water and Mt. Baker from the deck accompanied by the sound of the fountain can't be beat. On warmer days, my 10 year old and I enjoyed swimming in the lake at the top of the hill. It gave her a great chance to meet and play with other kids. Lots of nooks, crannies, and warmth here. Although there is a lovely fenced area for dogs, our 8 lb. Doggie could find ways under the fence when he set his mind to it.
