Tranquil Oceanfront retreat on lummi Island

This Recently built ocean front cottage is on a 1/2 acre. This private property offers hardwood and tile and flooors, vaulted ceilings, Fir doors and trims, Cherry cabinets in the kitchen. The perfectly situated King size alcove just off the kitchen and living room allows for some time to curl up and take a snooze in the middle of the afternoon.
Gorgeous views from your living room/ dining room table are just the beginning of your relaxing stay, a freestanding gas fireplace will keep you cosy warm during the autumn and winter evenings, while reading a book with a glass of wine or munching on appys's prepared in the fully functioning kitchen.

It is hard to beat waking up in the morning watching the sailboats from your king size bed in the master bedroom ... and listening to the creek making its way along side the property till it goes over the water fall into the ocean.
You may be fortunate enough to see our adopted Eagle ( Zorro) perched in the trees, or the deer that come through the property forging for food. If you enjoy eating smores around an open fire, wood is provided and the out door fire pit that boasts an ocean view is a great place to to keep anyone entertained. The Deck in the front of the cottage though small allows for those morning coffees in the crisp air, Did I mention the the cappicino machine? Or if you prefer, when the sun is shining, the deck by the entrance is always comfortable both in size and in temperature not to mention a wooded view. Lummi Island is unqie oasis at the entrance of the San Juan islands. Approximately a 7 minute ferry ride from Goosebery point,( approx. 20.00 around trip) it offers a laid back atmosphere for the adventreous.
If you are looking for some exercise, or just wanting to explore your surroundings,go for a walk or take the bikes(4) out and ride to the Tap root, a local watering hole that offers tap beer or special coffees and other delicious treats.
For the evening you may like to indulges is a culinary treat at the Willows inn, a world renound restaurant that offers the finest cusine ( Don't forget to make your reservations in advance to to visiting the island).
The general store has supplies that you may need to supplement your stay, or the Beach house cafe is a wonderful option for casual fare.
Other options for activities are walks through the trails on the island , beach walks in wind swept sand across the street from the Willow Inn If you visit in the summer join in on the tours that are offered from the local tour guides on the island such as whale watching tours or San juan sailing tours. The farmers market is always a hit open every Saturday offering fresh vegatables and crafts and pottery to the locals and the visitors.
