Description of the Lummi Island vacation home rental
A spectacular Cape Cod style home overlooking the native wildlife and glory of the San Juan Islands.
The beautifully landscaped grounds and numerous trails deliver majestic views of Mt. Baker and Bellingham Bay.
A generous great room on the main floor opens up with a double set of fir french doors to tiered lawns and gardens beyond.
Area Description
Lummi Island is unique in its close proximity to the mainland and the fact that it is served by its own vehicle ferry. The ferry makes the 10 minute crossing at least one an hour from 6 am to midnight each and every day. You will be able to enjoy the treasures of island life, as well as mainland exploration. Day trips to the cities of Vancouver, BC Canada or Seattle, WA are perfectly within reason, as is hiking Mt. Baker, whale watching and visiting some of the other San Juan Islands.

A magical getaway from the hectic pace of schedule and routine in the city. The grand crackling fire served as the perfect cozy backdrop for a good book and glass of wine. Sunshine, rain, mist, wind--all the weather elements only added to the refueling "moment" we had here.

Thank you for a beautiful vacation! I think one of our favorite highlights was hand feeding two bucks! They LOVE carrots and apples. :) Yesterday we saw a doe and her fawn. We immensely enjoyed the hot tub. What a perfect location.

What a beautiful Home! The garden of flowers was so inviting. The view was so perfect that it almost didn't seem real. The restaurants on Lummi were superb! Our explorations led us to Grouse Mountain (Vancouver), kayaking with Elakah, Rafting on the Nooksack River and Sailing from Bellingham Harbor. It is a paradise in your part of this awesome world. We are already planning for our next trip to the Great Pacific Northwest.

Thank you for lending the house to us. We really enjoyed staying, going to the beach and seeing crabs. Me and my brother fell asleep in the front room. The first night we saw 5 deers. We played hide and seek... Thanks again for a wonderful time.

Thank you so much for sharing your house! It's location, gardens, view and amenities make it a must for people visiting Lummi Island. We were here for 10 days.
1) Get here! When we finally did we had so much fun exploring the house and the yard.
2) Explored the Island.
3) Took a tour of Bellingham Bay and went to the festival in Fairhaven.
4) Went to Mt. Baker and Artist's Point. The snow was amazing!
5) Drove to Blaine and rode horses, then to Semiahmoo to scope out the resort.
6) Back up to Semiahmoo for a spa day for me and Mom, Noah and Lizzie played on the beach.
7) River rafting on the Skagit, That was SO much fun! Cold, but fun.
8) Sunset Kayaking trip at Larrabee State Park. Wonderful!
9) Back to Seattle, then Phoenix, then Scottsdale!
10) Company from Seattle visited for dinner.
