Amazing Roof Top Terrace!

My husband and I stayed at Jesus and Clara's Bello Mar unit for one week in February 2013. We have been to Puerto Rico before and have traveled extensively. Having said that, we both agreed that this vacation ranks among our highlights....mostly due to the great condo. First, we were pleasantly surprised when Jesus actually met us at the airport so that we could follow him to the condo....so nice! When we arrived we were blown away by the cleanliness of the unit and that great roof top terrace. The Bello Mar building is right on the beach so that the water and waves are literally at your door step. We actually opted to spend more time just relaxing during the day on the terrace rather than go to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items...except a large coffee maker which we ended up purchasing at the local Walmart and leaving at the unit. They had a little 4 cup coffee maker which we would have to make two pots every morning. The blender they have was awesome...crushed ice really well for smoothies! The interior of the unit was nicely decorated with comfy furnishings. The mattress was even comfortable! When you arrive, don't be put off by the surrounding neighborhood; while not an upper class area, we never felt unsafe in any way. The location in Fortunate is also excellent. We were close to the famous Luquillo Beach with their kiosks ( La Parilla has excellent seafood!) We were only a 10 minute drive from the famous El Yunque rainforest and a cute little place that offers horseback riding ( Hacienda Carabali) in the rainforest...ask for Roberto who was a great tour guide for us! We also ventured over to Fajardo (15-20 minute drive) to check out the Las Cabezas de San Juan nature preserve...be sure to call ahead to make reservations. And finally, the location is only about a half hour from San Juan...so we checked out Old San Juan for a day trip and experienced the rich history of the area. My husband and I would highly recommend the Bello Mar and Jesus and Clara's apartment. If we could rate it higher than five stars we would!

Loved recently renting Arturo's place. It was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go and had awsome views of the beach. Paradise found!! A truly wonderful time!

BelloMar was just what what my wife and I needed after a stressful time with the daily obligations back home. It was so relaxing to sit in the penthouse and watch the spectacular sunset, and enjoy a delicious breakfast with no worries, surrounded by ther natural beauty of the Luquillo area. We were able to enjoy both the sun, surf, as well as the nearby Mameyes river, which offers a spectacular view of El YUNQUE Rainforest. I was nicely surprised to learn that there were golf facilities in nearby Rio Grande, which I took advantage of. We were so delighted by the warm hospitality of owners Clara and Jesus, that we left a deposit to return in August!! There are so many things to see and do that we have to return. I would highly recommend BelloMar to anyone looking for a caribbean escape from the daily stresses of life back in the states!

Our stay in the Bello Mar was everything we expected and MORE!! The condo was exactly as listed, size, layout, amenities....The kitchen has everything you need to enjoy your stay, from pots & pans, glasses, even coffee and other staples were provided. The condo was immaculately clean and welcoming. We will recommend this to friends and relatives and we will be returning next winter! The owners Clara and Jesus were extremely helpful upon our arrival. They made sure we were comfortable and provided information about shopping and dining.
