Description of the Luray vacation cabin rental

Escape to the beauty of the mountains and the sounds of the Shenandoah River. Located just 75 minutes from the Capital Beltway, River Bluff Cabins, "Moondance" makes the perfect getaway in the Shenandoah Valley with all the luxuries of home. Situated on 4 wooded acres, the amenities at Moondance never stop. From the moment you step onto the stone path and gaze upon this rustic cedar cabin, the views of the Blue Ridge mountains will captivate you.

Moondance offers two bedrooms, both with Queen Beds, as well as a double futon in the living room, and 2 full baths. It comfortably sleeps up to 6 people. In the Living Room the focus is on the stone fireplace and the large windows that grace both sides of it. Enjoy all the beauty of a fire with the convenience of gas logs. The Kitchen is fully equipped and is only a step away from either a 12 x 40 outdoor deck or your own spacious 10 x 20 screen porch. On the screen porch you will find a table and chairs for outdoor dining and a chaise lounge where you can lie back, relax and take in the beauty that unfolds around you. For more relaxation step into a 4 person Jacuzzi hot tub under the stars and watch the full moon rise over the Blue Ridge Mountains. From the kitchen, dining room, living room and screen porch you can take in a picture perfect view of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains. Knotty pine floors, natural wood trim, ceiling fans in every room and 13 foot vaulted ceilings throughout the cabin only enhance your stay at Moondance. For those who would like to have that camping feeling there is an outdoor fire pit.

Our river access is only a 1/2 mile walk from Moondance. We are also within a half hour of many popular attractions such as canoeing or tubing on the historic Shenandoah River, hiking in the Shenandoah National Park, horseback riding, or fly fishing in a mountain stream. You can take a drive along Skyline Drive or explore the depths of Luray Caverns, or just browse for antiques in the many shops along Main Street in downtown Luray. For children there is Jellystone Park with miniature golf and a water slide, and the Luray Reptile Center. Massanutten Ski Resort is only 45 minutes away.

What a wonderful stay we had at Moondance. We went along with another couple and Moondance was perfect! Lovely atmosphere, wonderful hot tub, the views and the sky was amazing!! We will definitely be back!!

We stayed at Moondance for nearly two weeks in May 2007. Had a wonderful time. Derek and Nina are wonderful landlords. The hot tub at night is an experience not to be missed!!

If you are looking for a vacation rental home that offers a pet friendly, secluded cozy home, that has a awesome view of the mountains, then I have found the perfect home and location. My husband, son, dog, and myself had a wonderful week stay in this beautiful home in Rileyville, Virginia. This furnished home has a very relaxing atmosphere and only about 20 mintes from local attractions. We spent 3 days visiting some of these attractions, such as Luray Caverns, and Shenandoah National Park. The ride on Skyline Drive lets you enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains. Drive slow, there are deer roaming! If you want to really enjoy the views, a hot air ballon ride is the way to travel. This is a breath taking experience and one you will never forget. Canoeing and rafting is a fun way to view natures wildlife. Yikes-did see some snakes! The best part of the trip is relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the view of the mountains. This trip was spent-MAKING MEMORIES.
