Description of the Luray vacation cabin rental
The master bedroom has a king bed and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed. There is a loft with a futon that makes a double sized bed. The sofa also converts to a queen sized bed. The living room has an open cathedral ceiling with exposed heavy timber beams and a dormer to let in plenty of natural light. There is a gas log fireplace with a floor to ceiling stone chimney. Just above the fireplace is a 52" LCD HDTV with DirecTV HD including premium channels and a Blu-Ray player with free Netflix streaming. There is a Sonos streaming stereo with remote. Kalmia Cabin also offers free wireless broadband service. There is a full kitchen with new GE appliances. Pots, pans and dinerware are included. We think the front porch is the best feature of Kalmia, it's screened in, has a hot tub, table and chairs and a stunning view of the Shenandoah Valley. There is a ramp to access the cabin and all rooms except the loft are on the same level. Guests have access to our fishing pond with picnic pavilion, playground and canoes.
We live close by and are available if you have any needs or if you would like some information and suggestions about area attractions. We will also make every effort to accomodate unique requirements. Need a pack-n-play or a high chair? We can usually provide.

Wood,wood,everywhere. One of our things to do on our list was to stay in a log cabin in the Shenendoah Mountains. Now, we can say this has been accomplished. The cabin was a beautiful well maintained cabin situated perfectly on the side of the mountain. The sunsets were absolutely b-e-a-utiful, especially when viewed from the hot tub. We spent a week at the cabin and while there we did a little flyfishing, hiking and just enjoyed being one with nature in a quiet peaceful environment. We will return again in the near future. Wonderful Getaway

We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Luray area. The cabin was well equipped, extremely clean, and very comfortable. The view from the porch was beautiful! The owners were wonderful to work with and made the rental process seamless! The driveway was recently paved and was an easy drive.

Pretty much perfect. My friend and I met there (we see each other once a year) Weather was lovely, the town was really cool, Luray Caverns were stunning,and Kalmia, well we wouldn't have changed a thing about it. Nice sunsets from the deck! Thanks Jason and Cori (owners) for eveything

My husband and I travel for our anniversary every year and this cabin ranks in the top 3 places we've stayed. We felt right at home. Beautiful and clean with lots of extra touches made our stay fantastic. The owners are super-nice people. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to others.

We had a wonderful experience and would love to return to the beauty and comfort of Kalmia cabin. The majestic views from the porch are stunning! The beds are comfortable, the kitchen nicely appointed (which was great for the cook!) and the cabin, spotless. It's new and beautiful, comfortable and quiet, making our visit one of complete relaxation. If you're in the mood for a fabulous hamburger, try the Hawksbill Diner nearby. Be sure and order some home fries with that :) You won't be disappointed! Thank you, Jason and Cori for your hospitality and friendliness. God bless!

Perfect Luxurious Mountain Escape!

Our family just returned from our stay at Kalmia Log Cabin. We were there for a week but would have liked to stay for a year! The cabin is gorgeous, clean, tasteful and comfortable! The views from the porch are one of a kind, especially at sunrise and sunset! The firepit was a wonderful gathering place each night to view the stars and hear the train pass through the valley. We loved the pull-out bed by the gas fireplace...a great place to fall asleep watching the stars through the front windows! There are many places to hike around the cabin and even a playground nearby for the kids. The location of Kalmia was perfect for all of the local attractions! We cannot wait to go back! The owners are helpful, hospitable, and take care of all of your needs. For a perfect mountain experience look no further!

I spent 9/19-9/21 here for a relaxing birthday weekend. This cabin is absolutely beautiful. The pictures in no way do this place any justice. Everything was perfect. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub on the deck was nice and I found everything I needed in the kitchen. I will be back.

This cabin has it all! It is brand new and beautifully decorated...everything from the bed linens, towels, cookware, hot tub, etc. We celebrated our 26th anniversary here and will have many wonderful memories. Very relaxing the the owners were very accommodating. You won't be disappointed with this cabin choice!
