My husband is recovering from cancer and wanted to see the Shenandoah mountains again. We live on the Ms. Gulf Coast and it was a 16 to 17 hour trip for us. It was a wonderful cabin and a trip of a lifetime. I have never seen such beauty. The cabin was excellent and we were very comfortable. Our son lives in Virginia and we weren't going to be able to see him for Thanksgiving, if we had not gone to Luray. We were totally happy and if possible, we are planning to return one day.

When I arrived there had been a mix-up with the booking and the cabin I had expected to stay in was occupied. Thankfully, the current guest was gracious and contacted the property manager who acknowledged the mistake and immediately officered choices of other cabins. The cabin I chose was "Little Truckee Lion". I believe this must have been the best cabin of them all. The setting was ideal; the cabin was spacious, rustic, and well equipped with every possible amenity. The only thing I regret about this trip was that I didn't book a longer stay. When we left I felt totally relaxed and refreshed. The property manager even came out to recue us one evening when drove out too late and became disoriented.
