Shenandoah Valley the CABIN CAPITOL OF VIRGINIA!!!! Come hang Loose at "Loose Moose Lodge in Shenandoah Valley for your romantic getaway or family adventure.
Loose Moose Lodge is a beautiful 1 story, 2 bedrooms 1 bath lodge was completed in 2008. We are located in Luray Va, in the Shenandoah Valley in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, with great views of the Skyline Drive.

Loose Moose is the perfect place for a family vacation, weekend getaway with friends, or just a romantic getaway for 2, the cabin sleeps from 2-4 people.

Loose Moose has a large covered front porch with log swing, and full deck covering the length of the back of the lodge that has the private hottub for those romantic nights under the stars. There is also a charcoal grill off the deck for you to use.

There is a private fire pit, and hammock located in the seclusion of the woods for your family time roasting marshmallows or just a quite evening by the fire.

Inside the cabin, there is a 32' flat screen tv with satilite,dvd player, small movie selection, ipod docks. Also the kitchen is fully equipped for most of your cooking needs. There is a cozy fireplace in the living room, it is an electric fireplace, it has all the ambience of a wood burning without the mess! Beautiful at night, and very cozy to curl up by with a blanket and bottle of wine.

When you stay at Loose Moose Lodge, you can enjoy our recreational area anytime, or any of the surrounding hiking trails.

There is a 2 acre stocked fishing pond within walking distance. So bring along your fishing pole. Maybe you will want o pack a picnic lunch before you leave so you can eat at the covered family pavillion/shelter over looking the water.

There is also horseback riding & public pool with in 2 miles of our rental property. Also Wisteria Vineyard is 2 miles from our cabins as well. We are ~40 minutes from Massunutten ski Resort which has now opened its newest ice skating rink.

Perfect mountain hideaway!

We LOVED staying at the Loose Moose! It was secluded on the mountain-side so the privacy was great. The pictures don't do the interior justice...it's very clean, great decor and has all the modern amenities you need (well, except wi-fi but I suppose the point to a getaway is disconnecting). We loved that the fishing pond was walkable down the hill. It's a short 10-15 minute drive into Loray which is nice for groceries and such. Being able to bring our dog was also key, and he loved running around and exploring the trail around the house. Other perks: the hot tub, hammock, fire pit, BBQ, deck, and TV/cable. The views were amazing! We would watch the sunset on the deck as it passed over the mountains. We will definitely go back to the Loose Moose! And Lisa was great to work with!

We had a wonderful time at Loose Moose Lodge. The lodge is a beautiful cabin. We loved it do much that we want one for ourselves. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a peaceful getaway and loves the beautiful outdoors. Top Notch Place!

PERFECT cabin, PERFECT getaway!

Our two nights at the Loose Moose Lodge were fantastic! My husband and I took our two small children (ages 3 & 6) for some family time before my husband deploys. It was a very last minute trip and the owners were just remarkable to work with. The cabin had everything we needed and it made our quick getaway very easy to pack for. The kids LOVED the fire pit, the hammock and the tree swing. But I think their favorite part was the hot tub. The cabin's location is the perfect mix of private and yet not to far from things to do. We would stay at the cabin again in a heart beat. The inside decor makes the whole experience even better from the log framed beds to the log dining table. Stay at this cabin you will not regret it!
