Description of the Luray vacation cabin rental

The Lakeland is a beautiful one-bedroom and loft log cabin at Stanley,VA, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains,which provides great mountain views. This cabin is a Daniel Boone Log Home Design. The cabin is perfect for a romantic weekend getaway,honeymoon or family vacation.Rustic log furniture. Lakeland Cabin is great for just relaxing,whether in the outdoor hot tub or sitting on the front porch taking in the mountain views. Sitting around the campfire roasting marshmallows(wood provided)is another treat.Also picnic table, log swing and charcoal barbeque grill. Watch satellite TV or a DVD movie by an electric fireplace for peaceful ambience. The cabin sleeps 6,and has a fully equipped kitchen. Towels and linens are provided with no extra charge.
A two-acre stocked pond for fishing just 2 tenths of mile from the cabin. Fish in pond are bass,catfish and perch.Catch and release only. Also at the pond are a picnic shelter and stoned fireplace(wood provided)

We are only 10 miles from Luray,VA home of the Luray Caverns and 15 miles from the Shenandoah National Park Headquarters. 25 miles from Massanutten Ski Resort and Water Park.

Wonderful Stay in Stanley, VA

My wife and I stayed at the Lakeland Log Cabin for the second time in a year. We are frequent visitors to the Shenandoah Valley, and the Lakeland Log Cabin is definitely our favorite place to stay away from home. The Lakeland Log Cabin is always extremely clean with the amenities we look for including air conditioning, satellite TV, and wireless internet connectivity. Haven't used the hot tub yet, but it's there. The view is outstanding from the front porch and dawn and dusk are the best times to see deer in the front yard. Our last visit included a sighting of a fawn whose spots were still barely visible. You are located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, and the Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive are easily accessed within 30 minutes or so. The scenery and sighting of wildlife is nothing short of outstanding. An added bonus! Bring your fishing rod and try your luck in the large stocked pond just adjacent to the Lakeland Log Cabin. It's catch and release, and our Labrador Retriever wanted desperately to retrieve the fish I was throwing back in the pond. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the amenities to which to which you are accustomed, then there's no better place to stay than the Lakeland Log Cabin in Stanley, VA. We plan on returning many more times.

Great Vacation Home

My family and I rented the Lakeland Log Cabin for 3 nights for part of our summer vacation!! The cabin is fully furnished just as the description states. The views are absolutely beautiful. My family was not ready to leave and would have been very happy staying the entire week. The kids loved cooking hot dogs and fixing smores on the outside campfire. The hammock was very relaxing. The hot tub was enjoyed by all four of us. We enjoyed watching the cows graze down in the valley from the front porch. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others!!
