Cast-A-Way log cabins are secluded retreats nestled between the George Washington National Forest and offering private access to the legendary Shenadoah River.

Picture yourself in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley relaxing in a hot tub under a canopy of majestic oaks listening to the sounds of the forest and the nearby Shenandoah River.

OurWithin Walking Distance to Shenadoah River with private river access and George Washington National Forest. 2 bedroom cabins with private lofts offer all the comforts to make your stay a memorable experience and quiet respite from the stresses of life. Each sleeping 2 to 6 people, they are the perfect honeymoon getaway or the ideal location for a family escape.

With two queen sized bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, a sofa and rocking chair, they are the perfect place to find repose in a welcoming and relaxing environment.

Cast-A-Way Cabins have a little something for everyone. A quiet walk in the woods, reading in front of the fire, small mouth bass fishing from the river's bank, roasting marshmallows around an outdoor fire pit, or renting a canoe from nearby Shenandoah River Outfitters. We're just a cast-a-way!

Area Information

Our cabins are surrounded by the George Washington National Forest and a short walking distance to our private river access to the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. They are unlike many cabins in our area, in that they are very private and are not in a development.
Our Family canoe business, Shenandoah River Outfitters is less than five minutes from the cabins and we are approx. twenty minutes from the town of Luray. Our quaint town has many antique shops, restaurants, the Greenway Hiking/Biking trail, a movie theater, the Luray Zoo and the famous must see, Luray Caverns. We are about thirty minutes from Shenandoah National Park, also knows as Skyline Drive.
If you are looking for a city with lights and traffic, you will not find it in our town. You will, however find a perfect location to Cast your cares Away!

Our cabins are not located in a development. They each have their own private driveway, and are surrounded by George Washington National Forest. You can literally go out the front door and into the woods to hike. The river is a short walk down Cast-a-Way's driveway and right across the gravel road. The river can be seen in the winter time when the leaves are not on the trees. Our family canoe business, Shenandoah River Outfitters is five miles down the road and if you are looking for a place to come and relax it is the perfect setting.
