Are you looking for the perfect 'getaway' from it all? Look no further than 'Rivermist', our charming 'cute as a button' cottage, nestled between the Massanutten Mountains and the Shenandoah River. You'll enjoy two cozy bedrooms and 'his n' hers' bathrooms (side by side) complete with jacuzzi tubs. Relax on the expansive wrap around porch for a morning coffee or a BBQ dinner while experiencing all the wonderful sights and sounds of nature. After a busy day of sightseeing or adventure seeking, cuddle up by the remote controlled fireplace and enjoy a game or a movie on our 40" LCD HDTV. River Mist offers two bedrooms, one at the front of the house and one at the back- allowing for privacy and comfort.

Take a five minute walk to a river outfitters where you can take in the fresh mountain air as you canoe, tube or kayak along the Shenandoah River. Or, make a trip of your own to the nearby public access or into Luray.

My girldfriend an I spent the BEST week at the Cottage. The owner's left us a welcome note and gift, the cottage is excellently maintained and very cozy. Convinient walk to mountan or river. The fireplace is excellent and the fire pit in the bakc yard is a must at night! it is like your own home thus you feel compelled to take very good care of it. Excellent!

Our vacation started on a high note when we found the welcome card and gift that the owners had left for us. Everything about the cottage - the furniture, the decor, the beautifully set dining table, the knick-knacks, gave us the feeling that we were guets in a friend's home and not just renters of a cottage. Luray is in a beautiful area of the Shenandoah Valley close to the awesome Luray Caverns and spectacular Skyline Drive, and reasonably close to Washington, DC and to the Natural Bridge. Both of us, our son and our grand-daughters had a great vacation and have many wonderful memories.

We had a great time at the cottage. The location is great, close to the river, a pretty fishing pond, and trails to walk around. It is about 20 minutes from Luray, and what a beautiful drive it is, especially in the fall!
The cottage has absolutely everything you need and is decorated with taste.The atmosphere is very relaxing and that's what we needed!
To top it off, the owners are really helpful and charming. It was a great stay and we will probably come back!"

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and thought everything was so comfortable. Loved the whirlpool tubs! Thanks again for being so accommodating on short notice, as well as for the tips on Lake Arrowhead and the river outfitters. We spent the afternoon canoeing, and saw herons, egrets, lots of turtles, tons of fish jumping, and even cows in the river! Hoping to come back again before summer's out.
