Description of the Lyman vacation cottage rental
Located down a tree lined road about 1 mile from Kennebunk Pond Road. The pond is 224 acres and also includes a 500 acre water shed.
The sense of privacy is from the tree studded shores as well as the 100 feet of shore frontage. One of the abutting cottages is on a very large lot which also creates additional privacy.
The house has been redone from to to bottom. Hardwood floors, new kitchen with all appliances and utensils, has ample counter space for the gourmet chef and opens to the dining area and views of Kennebunk Pond.
The living area with wood burning fireplace (great Maine woods aroma) opens to the over-sized deck. The water frontage consists of boulders and an area where the dock is and foot access to a cleared area with sandy bottom for swimming at Kennebunk Pond.
Sunbathing is on the deck and there is a large picnic table for outdoor dining. A gas grill for barbequeing is available as well. There is a canoe, row boat, and paddleboat for guest use. You can launch your own boat at the public launch and motor or sail to the private dock.
There are two bedrooms and a full bath on the first floor. One has two double beds the other a queen bed. There is a convertible couch with queen bed in the living area. Bedroom upstairs has queen bed and private 3/4 bath.
The dining table easily seats 8. There are stools at the kitchen counter.

Area Information
A short drive south will take you to beautiful Ogunquit for dining and shopping. Wells beach, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Old Orchard Beach are all nearby and will be sure to please both young and old with gorgeous beaches, quaint shops and amusements for the kids.

Thanksgiving getaway

We decided to get away for Thanksgiving this year and this home and location couldn't have been more perfect. The home was immaculate and had everything we needed to prepare our holiday meal. Best of all, the setting was beautiful and peaceful...just what we were looking for. We were all very thankful to spend a few days there and wished we could stay longer!

Nous avons passés de superbes vacances a votre maison. L'endroit est accueillant et trés tranquille tout en étant prés des nombreux attraits de la région. La maison est ultra propre et remplis de commodités et le terrain est super avec le lac devant. Nous en avons profités pour se baigner et faire du pédalo et du canot. Kennebunk Pond Vacation

First time rental on the Pond. House was very comfortable and clean. Very relaxing, sitting on the deck, in the morning, with our coffee. We enjoyed sitting at the dining room table, playing games at night. Also loved having the grill right by the kitchen. The house has everything you need. The lake was very clean. Looking forward to coming back.

A super holiday, at a super cottage!

Words cannot adequately describe the week we had at the cottage on Kennebunk Pond. The setting is exactly as we pictured it. We enjoyed boating on the pond, the ambiance of the warm fireplace, the smell of Maine hardwood burning, the haunting sound of the loons and the chill in the fall air. The home is outfitted to a tee - we didn't need a thing. All six of us are saying we need to go back. Thank-you Anne and Steve.
