Mackinac Island is simply a breathtaking hideaway in a tranquil setting. Authors and artists have found the peaceful solitude of the island inspiring for generations. With water views from all three levels of our townhouse, you'll see Great Lakes freighters slipping by your window so close it's as though you could reach out and touch them!

Vacationing on Mackinac Island is like stepping back in time, to a place where motorcars do not exist, Victorian architecture is the prevalent theme, and the crisp, clean air will revitalize your spirit. On your first evening at the townhouse, you will realize that the absence of the sounds of traffic creates a most wonderful experience. You'll hear the clip-clop of the horse-drawn carriages as they pass by on Main Street, and the low rumble of a 1,000 foot freighter as it slips quietly through the straits. With the majority of the island being State park land, you'll find yourself wanting to explore from shore to shore.
