Valhalla on Munro Lake
|Per night||$75 - $100|
Description of the Mackinaw City vacation cabin rental
100 feet of open sandy frontage on a spring fed clear 700 acre lake (2 miles long & 1 mile wide) that can be swimmable on Memorial weekend, only 15 minutes south of Mackinaw City and 5 minutes west of I-75 with beautiful sunsets included. Munro Lake is very peaceful with little boat traffic, good fishing, eagles and loons can be seen at the NNW end that is state land (about 1/4 of the shoreline). There are actually 2 cabins, but we only rent the south one. The cabin is recently redone with a double bed and a set of single bunks in the bedroom, and a good sleeper sofa in the front room that views the lake. There is a full bath with shower. The kitchen has apartment size refrigerator and gas stove, microwave, and large sink. There is a table & chairs also facing the lake. There is a tv and dvd/vcr combo, small recliner, rocking chair, and sofa for seating. Outside you will find a patio set, picnic table, chaise lounges, and a firepit in the large grassy yard for your enjoyment. There is a 48 foot dock, a canoe, a paddle boat, and a vintage pontoon boat lakeside. There is a public access if you have a small boat.
You are only 15 minutes from all that the Mackinaw area has to offer. The Mighty Mac bridge, the forts in the city and on Mackinac Island, historic Mill Creek, Old Mackinaw Point Lighthouse, and the retired Icebreaker Mackinaw to mention a few. Within a half hour you can be in Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Cross Village, Cheboygan and all points in between. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby.
