 serenity, December 2, 2009
By Sandy Herman (Roswell, GA)
If you want a place to get away from it all, this is it! Very nice cabin at the bottom of a mountain. Would imagine the views would be spectacular during the Fall. We missed all the leaves, but even the trees with no leaves in the mountains were still breathtaking. Would love to go back.

 Wonderful Getaway, November 18, 2009
By Rhonda Price (Griffin, GA)
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. We talked about going back next year in the fall and taking enough supplies to stay for a week without having to leave. Just rest and relaxation and enjoy the peace. The owners are wonderful and caring people and it was great doing business with you. Thanks again

It was a lovely weekend at the cabin...Tranquil and secluded, yet close to everything you need. We saw waterfalls just within a few miles. The cabin was clean and cozy...Will come back n the spring for sure!

Beautiful, serene, mountain paradise, October 22, 2009
By John & Yvonne Crews (Folkston, GA)
This was truly an example of God's handiwork! Everywhere we looked, we just took a deep breath and sighed, it was so peaceful and gorgeous! There is SO MUCH to do in the area or you can enjoy yourself doing nothing at all. We did some of both. The cabin looked like it was new- it was so clean. And it had everything you needed to be comfortable and feel at home! I would recommend this perfect little hideaway to everyone! Thank you for a wonderful experience- we will return.

Secluded Mountain Retreat, October 11, 2009
By Karen Wiggins (Snow Hill, NC USA)
This place had me at "hello". I could learn to live here very easily. The view of the mountains from the porch left me speechless. I couldn't wait for the sun to come up every morning, so I could sit there with my hot chocolate and marshmallows and be "in awe" of the beauty of God's work. My niece, Nikki, and I celebrated her 17th birthday there watching the leaves turn. We also visited Waynesville (Nike and Nate's Pizza)the best anywhere, Asheville (Biltmore Estate), Cherokee, and Maggie Valley. We both live to shop, so we definitely helped out the local economy. I am a photographer, so I was in Heaven with all the gorgeous views around, including inside the cabin with its' mountain decor. I got a great shot of my niece standing on the porch with the view of the mountains in the background. We'll be enjoying that portrait for years to come. The Bennett's are the perfect couple to rent from. They're very warm and friendly. Their cabin is spotless and has all the coziness of home. We enjoyed watching DVDs at night and couldn't wait to get to bed early, because the beds are pillow top soft, yet firm. I woke up with a smile on my face every morning, just looking forward to my day in this lovely place. Would recommend it to anyway that wants a lovely experience with no hassels. Karen and Nikki - Snow Hill, N.C.

Home away from Home, August 4, 2009
By Ballash Family (Daytona Beach, Florida)
Show up, Turn key, and Whalahh...you are definitely on vacation away from it all! Location, Location, LOCATION! Close to everything! White water rafting, riding horses, feeding the chipmnks (adorable, birds, and hummingbirds is a great pastime. Firepit makes for a family gathering. Indian reservation and trout pond right down the road! Brought 4 huge trout home and enough to feed 8 people with leftovers!(We brought them home for our fish fry). So many things to do and walk. I could have left my asthma meds at home - didn't need them! Home was clean/comfortable and even got my ironing done! Life is good!

 Breath Taking, August 3, 2009
By The Voight's (Suffolk, VA)
Our family thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and it's amazing views. There are lots of sites to see and places to visit while in Maggie Valley, but nothing beat a relaxing morning and evening on the front porch. Thank you for such a wonderful week!

We had a wonderful vacation made even better by our stay in this cabin. It was decorated beautifully, scrupulously clean and conveniently located. Sitting on the porch in rockers drinking coffee and talking, so peaceful and restful, delightful!! Our grandson asked to stay another week. We hope to return.

 Perfect Hide-away, May 9, 2009
By Allens (Nashville, TN)
This was an excellent spot in which to "get away from it all." We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin. It's location, neatness, and over-all feel made our vacation something to remember. I highly recommend this cabin, as well as the breath-taking views of Catalochee. We saw wild Elk.... A. and J. Allen

 Spring 2009, April 7, 2009
By Jimmy & Michelle Greene (South Carolina)
We really enjoyed the stay at the Bennett's place. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin when we arrived. The location is great as well; it's off the beaten path but only 15 minutes to either Cherokee or Maggie Valley. We even enjoyed watching the clouds and snow roll in up the valley towards us. Plenty of reading material there to help reset yourself to the things that really matter in life. Thanks again :-)

 Peaceful getaway, December 2, 2008
By Judy Rogers (Bessemer City, NC)
What a wonderful cabin, very clean and cozy and convenient to area attractions. This place is a perfect getaway any time of the year. Our grandkids had a great time and didn't want to leave. They had the opportunity to take ski lessons and ski at Cataloochee Ski Resort beside Ghost Town. I recommend staying at the Bennett's cabin due to the breathtaking view, area attractions and cleaniness of the cabin.

 Mountain Paradise!, November 17, 2008
By Mary (Hampton, SC USA)
To anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable, cozy place to stay in the beautiful mountains of Maggie Valley and Cherokee, this is the place! The cabin is secluded with amazing views of the mountains. From the front porch you can hear a flowing creek below you. We went to find peace and quiet and enjoyed every minute. Maggie Valley is only a short drive away and has quaint shops and family restaurants with fantastic food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin and will definitely be making reservations for another stay. The fall colors were just breathtaking. We may reserve during the summer to escape the heat! Thank you for sharing your mountain paradise with us.

 Summer 2008, August 26, 2008
By David S. (Toledo, OH)
We've rented cabins in the Smokies before, but never in NC. Wow! In the future, we'll skip Gatlinburg and PF and go right to NC, Nantahala, etc. The road up to the cabin is a couple hundred yards off the Blu Ridge Parkway (a beautiful ride all the way in). We were so busy on our summer vacation, we usually got in after dark and left early morning. Next time we'll enjoy the sunrises and sets on the huge porch and back campfie area. We had everything we needed at the cabin. We wish we would have spent more time there. The rate was extremely attractive for in-season, and Robert was very gracious (we actually booked it after midnight the first day of our stay!). The southern side of the Smokies is the place to be. Our family suggests White watering the Nanatahala River, renting a pontoon for the day on Lake Fontana, Bryson City, the Jet Boat Ride just past Bryson..and of course, all of the normal hikes in the park (to the top of Chimney Tops...wooo-hoo, we made it!). Thanks Bob.

 A Perfect Getaway, July 28, 2008
By Dina Gregorich (Wesley Chapel, Florida)
Our stay at this cabin was great. They didn't forget anything. There were even night lights for the kids. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the porch, firepit and the convenient location to everything. I have already told my friends and they are planning trips as well. We will surely go back again.

Practically new condition and very peaceful, July 20, 2008
By The Bordens (Raleigh, NC)
We were looking for a mountain retreat with access to the hiking trails of the Great Smokey Mountains to enjoy with our son on leave from the Army before heading to South Korea for a year or two- we were very pleased. If the master bedroom had a queen-size bed, we would have rated this home as a 5-star experience. But everything else was so nice that we will certainly consider coming back again. We also appreciated the very warm and hospitable interactions that we had with both Bob and Glenda. Although we do not know them personally, we very much appreciate the sincerity with which they tried to ensure we had a great time. Finally, our security deposit was returned in a very timely fashion.

 Quiet Get-Away, July 18, 2008

Anyone wanting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday should book this cabin retreat! A great place to relax and enjoy nature during the day as well as sit on the porch relaxing in the coolness of the evening/nights.

Heaven on Earth, June 29, 2008
By Nancy & Ken Steward (Tampa, FL)
Thank you for sharing this little slice of heaven with us. Even though we were only there for four days it was just what we needed. The cool mountain air, the beautiful cabin, the gorgeous view. This was the most relaxing and rejuvenating vacation we have ever had. I can't explain what it does for your body and soul, to be on the porch in a rocking chair enjoying the view and watching the hummingbirds. For a little while you let go of all your worries and cares and just relax. We will definitely return, God willing.

 Great fun!, June 14, 2008
By Timothy W. Howell (Ellenwood, GA)
Thanks for working with us to make our vacation happen. We had a really great time. The view was everything you said it would be. My 4-year-old saw his first hummingbirds! He did not want to go. My 13-year-old and I had a wonderful time riding all over on the ATVs. Even my parents enjoyed this activity! how awesome!! My wife really enjoyed lots of relaxing peace and quiet. The home was very clean and ready to use (the breakers were on and hot water was available!). Everything was great! Thanks!

Escape to the cool, cool mountains, May 16, 2008
By Dan & Sharon (Tampa, Florida)
What a joy to leave the mid-80 degrees in Florida (in April) for temperatures dropping to 30 at night, 50-60 during day! Our 3rd stay, and it's just getting better! So much to enjoy, but the most enjoyment for us is to be away from it all, and take in the simple things in life.....real peace & quiet, daily walks, reading, naps, and special time to let your mind unwind. Excellent location; just a short drive to restaurants and most anything else you need. Very convenient! Clean, comfortable, relaxing, friendly locals. We'll be back soon!

 A Beautiful,Peaceful Part Of Gods Creation, May 16, 2008
By Brenda Lowe (USA)
A place where beauty is more than can be imagined. You can sit back in a rocking chair on the porch, drinking your morning coffee. From there you can see all the fall colors, and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The cabin itself makes you feel right at home. You have everything you need right there. It's really nice the way it's decorated,so cosy.I will be going back. The cabin is set in such a beautiful location, there is still so much to see.But just sitting in that rocking chair, looking across to the mountains,I believe was the most peaceful.I will go back,Brenda

We have had a lovely time here at the cabin. The National Park was overwhelmingly beautiful, the elk such a treat. The children loved picking blackberries and looking for the hummingbirds. We all enjoyed playing games, laughing and roasting marshmallows or smores. (No TV!) It's truly a beautiful place.

Thank you for sharing this little piece of heaven with us. Your cabin is so cozy. We had a wonderful time. Being tucked away on the mountain, but close enough to everything the area has to offer. Our children enjoyed exploring around the cabin, picking blackberries, and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. We made a blackberry cobbler! Going to see the Elk on Cataloochee, was the highlight of our trip. We hope to come back real soon.

WE had a wonderful time staying in your cabin. The weather was great and the mountains were beautiful. My husband and I picked blackberries by the road and I made a pie. My motehr and mother in law enjoyed the view from the front porch. They said this was the best trip they had to the mountains. Thank you and God Bless.

Excerpt from guest book 06/2008:

I soon found out that the mountain air was naturally conditioned and we did not need fake air conditioning. My most favorite part of the trip was with the kids. I got to play with my four year old grandson and teach him about nature and it's miracles. I got to ride on the ATV's around the mountains with my thirteen year old grandson and regain a little of my youth back, if only for a little while. These are memories that I'll treasure until the good Lord takes me home! Thank you. I am so glad that my son and daughter-in-law asked us to join them. I am glad that I came!

What a wonderful visit we had in your peaceful cabin. It was so delightful to watch the hummingbirds and chipmunks make their daily visits. We were also treated to a late afternoon thunderstorm which was so relaxing. The soft rain was just the perfect backdrop for a good book and a little nap. Thanks for sharing these experiences and fantastic views. We loved every minute. Thanks again.

Dear Mr.and Mrs. Bennett,

We had a wonderful 2 days at the cabin last weekend, and thank you very much for helping make that possible. Our friend from Clemson University and my wife are like sisters (my wife is an only child) and I don't think they stopped talking for a minute except when sleeping! I enjoyed the quiet location and just doing some good R&R!
May you have a blessed Labor Day weekend!

Faithfully,
