A hidden gem in Maggie Valley, January 14, 2010
By Elvira (Miami)
We went on a family vacation and had the best time ever. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and everything you need is available, I mean everything. We were lucky enough to get snow and we had sleds available to do some sledding right on the driveway. The cabin is extremely homey, yet wonderfully decorated and I can't wait to go back. This is a great experience and wonderful place to have a family retreat.

Awesome Cabin, alot of amenities..well worth price, December 23, 2009
By matthew moceri (fort lauderdale, fl)
This is by far the best cabin I have stayed in to date. The cabin is listed as 3 bedrooms but should really be more like (5) including the basement with fold out bed and the loft area on the second floor. This cabin had plenty of space for me and 10 other people to be in comfortably. the mountain setting is awesome and the views from all the french doors in the bedrooms during the winter and after a few snow showers was a sight to see. There are many things to do in the cabin from playing pool to sitting by a cozy fire outback. It was also very convienent to other activities with it only taking approx 10 min to get into town and 10 to 15 to reach cataloochee ski area. We all had a great time and are now making it a yearly trip.

"Fantastic Winter Getaway", December 23, 2009
By Shannon (Margate, FL)
We had an amazing time during our stay in Maggie Valley. The cabin was amazing. Everything about it was just perfect. It is cozy enough for just two or three but large enough to accomadate several more. The first several days we were there, it was just three of us; then the rest of the family joined us. We had more than ten people and we were all still very comfortable. The cabin was immaculately kept; with so many little touches that made it feel very homey. Very clean and even had decorations for the holidays. The location of it was perfect also. It was set back in a mountain but not too far away from civilization. Anything you wanted to do was within minutes. Ski Lodge, Tubing, Shopping, Restaurants, Gem Mining, etc. It was all within 10-15 minutes. We used the BBQ and Firepit almost every night for dinner and marshmallow roasting. The pool table in the basement also got alot of use. One of the most memorable things about our stay in the cabin was when we went sledding down the driveway. We had a blast! It felt we were able to get away from the world when we were there but with satelite cable and wireless internet, we were still able to stay connected. It was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend anyone I know to stay there and actually have given out several cards. We will also be staying again same time the next year and possibly in the summer as well, so we can take advantage of some of the summer acivities, like horseback riding and whitewater rafting.

We loved our stay in Eagle Creek, December 19, 2009
By Sherry (Tampa Bay, Florida)
Eagle Creek is such a beautiful, warm, inviting cabin. Very new, very clean, very comfortable. We had everything we needed, and more. The decorating and atmosphere make you feel like you're visiting a friend's house. One of those nice experiences where everything is better than the on-line photos. We are return customers, and will continue to stay at Eagle or Roaring Creek when in Maggie Valley. Tami and Andres, and their local manager, are wonderful hosts.

Our Amazing North Carolina Vacation, November 22, 2009
By RJ (Lutz, FL)
Tami and Andres, thank you for having us at your cabin, we really enjoyed ourselves. The cabin was so much nicer than even the pictures show. The game room was a hit with everybody and we loved sitting out back around the firepit. The cabin was well laid out and comfortable for all our group. The seclusion of the cabin made for a very special time. No neighbors all around us. We will definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to get away and look forward to returning

Response to Andy and Kathy, November 13, 2009
By Andres (Miami)
Dear Andy & Kathy: We want to thank you for the kind words describing our cabin in your review. We want to address the Direct TV problem. We checked, according to them we were getting the right package. It took them sometime to eventually figure out that they were not allowing the local channels to go through because they had inadvertently changed our service zip code. Too late to help you but that issue has long been resolved. We did visit late October (just 2 weeks ago) and stayed for five nights and were able to get all those local channels. We are surprised at your comments about movies, since we have probably nearly 200 movies of all genres. We additionally brought probably another 100 or so during our trip. Many local video stores probably don’t carry a better selection and we are proud of it. We understand from local reports and National news, that you were there during a time when the geographical area was pounded by unusually heavy rains/flooding, even prompting emergency declarations in nearby areas. That combined with the enormous amount of leaves our beautiful and secluded setting creates during the fall, can make for a wet underbrush on the roads, and removing the leaves can be a fool’s errand as they just keep on coming. We are honest about our roads, they are gravel and at grade but they are kept in very good conditions and except in case of snow, no 4x4 is needed. We are very sorry your stay was not as wonderful as you hoped

 Bring movies., November 12, 2009
By Andy Shaw (Satellite Beach FL USA)
This was beautiful home. Really beautiful. And comfortable with nice, upscale feature and appointments. However, we couldn't get many channels on the DirectTV, so we called the owner. He told us they had the Family Package and were supposed to get around 100 channels. We could only get about a dozen other than stupid shopping channels, and none of the few we could get were local, so no CBS, NBC,FOX,UPN,ABC. Those are the channels we normally watch for prime time TV. We were not prepared to miss our favorite shows and it did put a damper on our stay. We called DirectTV and the rep told us that even thought the owner was paying for the Family Package, that the area they are in can't get CBS, NBC,FOX,UPN,ABC, etc. Bummer! I guess DirectTV didn't explain that to the owners when they sold them the package. So be sure to bring lots of movies or your Blockbuster card. The road up to the house is very steep and gravely.Leaves were falling, making the gravel slippery. And when it rained it was slippery. I'm from NC and have been to the mts loads of times, but that road is scary. On the up side, it did make for a very private setting. No one was going to be joy riding up to the house, I'll betcha. I would not rent this house again, but I would rent from these owners again, if they had something on a better road and with better TV choices. Andy & Kathy

 Ballroomdancers, October 6, 2009
By Eva Daniel (Fort Pierce, Fl and New Jersey)
Four ballroom dancers stayed in the cabin and had a wonderful time. Cabin was very neat, well organized, 8 people were very comfortable! Lots of things to do in the area, fishing, shopping, sightseeing, etc. We even moved the furniture around and practiced dancing in the living room! Would recommend to anybody with a group or family.

Eagle Creek is wonderful, August 8, 2009
By Eddie S. (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)
I have been visiting the NC mountains for the past ten years and this is by far the best cabin our family has ever stayed in. It is spacious, yet cozy, comfortable and inviting. Its proximity to major highways allows visiting all the local attractions in a breeze. Waynesville, Asheville, Gatlinburg, Hendersonville, Dollywood, Pisgah, Nantahala, Cataloochee, all around the corner. I recommend this cabin to all that want to visit this area, and then come back to a serene cabin. Every room has a screen porch to sit back, read, and/or actually "hear yourself think". My congrats, and thanks goes out to the Trujillos.

Wonderful Place to Unplug, February 24, 2009
By Susan (Cooper City, FL)
Wow. We had an amazing time. The cabin is just beautiful. Ten of us stayed and at no time did we feel crowded. There are plenty of bathrooms. The cabin is very clean and laid out in a perfect manner for a group this size. I always thought staying in a cabin would be "roughing it," but not in this cabin. It is decorated adorably without being cluttered and has upgraded faucets and fixtures throughout. All of the appliances, fans, etc. are in excellent working order. The view is amazing and it is so nice to be able to have coffee on one of the 3 balconies and take in the view. The firepit just outside of the cabin is an awesome place to sit and roast marshmallows and make smores. If you want a place to unplug and reconnect with your family this is it!! It is a short drive to Cataloochee for skiing. The town is a short drive away as well and has everything needed from grocery stores, Walmart to local souvenir shops. The property manager makes herself available 24/7 should you n

Quiet and Secluded, January 13, 2009
By Ralph & Judi Bowman (Hertford, NC)
Thank you Andres and Tami for building such a beautiful home and making it available for others to enjoy. We had a great time and the cabin was perfect for the 3 couples in our family. It was kind of surreal sitting out on one of the decks among the changing fall leaves...breathtaking. We could have stayed at the cabin the entire time just relaxing, but did venture out into towns of Maggie Valley and Waynesville and even a day trip to Gatlingburg, TN. Lots to do in the area, but we especially enjoyed the time spent at Cades Cove in Chatalooche National Park, nearby. Lots of elk, deer and other wildlife, and the history of the village is just facinating. The steep narrow roads over the mountains in the park was a thrill with breathtaking views. Can't wait to go back.

A little "piece of heaven...", January 12, 2009
By Donna Cooper (Montgomery, AL)
This was our first trip to Maggie Valley after having been "regulars" at Beech Mountain for a number of years. Everything on this trip was just perfect with the exception of the weather - who would have thought there would be no snow in North Carolina this time of year?! But it was not a problem - the ski resort had excellent snow making equipment and our kids snowboarded to their heart's content. The cabin in wonderfully secluded in the woods yet the town of Waynesville is close by so we enjoyed shopping and eating in the downtown area. (And Asheville is close by as well if you really miss civilization!) We loved our vacation and look forward to staying in this cabin again - it truly felt like home and we all loved it.

Family Time in the Great Smokey Mountains, November 3, 2008
By Randy and Susan Martin (North Charleston, SC USA)
We had a wonderful time at The Eagle Creek Cabin last month. We didn't want to leave when it was time to go home. We love the mountains and enjoy every minute we get to spend there. This was a yearly get together with our children and other family. The cabin was perfect for our needs, especially since we did not have to leave our Cooper, the dog, at home this time. The king size beds and three separate bedrooms and baths were perfect for the three couples and other guests. We made some wonderful memories there and look forward to coming back next year.

 GREAT, October 15, 2008
By PENNY COX (ANDREWS, SC)
WE LOVED THE CABIN & THE PRIVACY. IT WAS VERY SPACIOUS AND HAD EVERYTHING AVAILABLE THAT YOU COULD NEED. AT NIGHT WE SLEPT UPSTAIRS WITH THE PATIO DOORS OPEN AND ENJOYED THE COOL MOUNTAIN AIR. IT WAS A WONDERFUL TRIP. I JUST WISH WE COULD HAVE STAYED LONGER.

 Great Place, September 3, 2008
By Rick Ruby (Raleigh, NC)
We loved the home, it's privacy and the surrounding area. We went to Maggie Valley and Asheville and some of the water falls on 276. Everything was easy to get to from the house and the roaring creek was beautiful!!
