The entrance to Smoky Mountains National Park is approximately 30 minutes away, via Route 19, or hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance just minutes from the Bears Den. Cataloochee Ranch and Ski resort are 5 minutes away.
With 2 Master bedrooms and a 3rd bedroom adjoining the common hall bath, the home affords privacy for multiple guests. The Futon in the downstairs den/bar area is great for the kids or two friendly adults.

We stayed at the Bears Den for three nights while in Maggie Valley. The house has room for 8 people, 6 was in our group. Is very clean and has a washer and dryer. Located close to shops and places to eat. Our next trip to this area will include a stay at the Bears Den.

It Was A Very Relaxing And Enjoyable Stay. The View Was Breath Taking. We Watched The Cows, Wild Trukeys And The Birds, Which Was Very Relaxing.the Cabin Was Very Nicely Decorated And Clean. All The Conviences Of Home. Ref. Wiht Ice Maker And Dishwasher. The Kitchen Was Very Furnished For All The Cooking. We Left On Tues. And The Dump Fill Was Closed So We Did Have A Problem Wiht The Trash. If It Could Be Left In The Trash Cans Outside Would Have Been Very Nice. Would Definitey Stay Again.

We Had A Lovely Month At The Bears Den In Maggie Valley, N. C. The House Was So Cozy And Complete And Well Situated For Company With Their Own Little Area Downstairs. Was Very Easy Dealing With The Owner, Ken Hardy, And It Was Beginning To Feel Like Home Being There. Do Get Off The Main Road In Maggie Valley. We Found Wonderful Areas Like Homes, Resorts, Elk, The Country Club, The Ski Area And A Wonderful Horse Ranch That We Hope To Take Our Grandson To Next Summer Called The Cataloochee Ranch. 4th of July Family Get-Together

This was a great place for our children and grandchildren to meet to have some family time. The house was large enough to accommodate us all comfortably. The shaded deck was our favorite hangout place. The house stayed comfortably cool with nothing but open windows and ceiling fans. The area gave lots of opportunity for exploration and privacy. The gated community was well kept and we felt completely safe. We hope to make this a yearly (or more often) tradition at the Bears Den.

We had 4 couples and this cabin was great. We drove our Corvettes and this cabin is perfect for Vettes as all of the roads are paved. The community is quiet and the area very beautiful. The large deck was a perfect place for us to have breakfast in the mornings and hang out, having fun in the evenings. We will be recommending this cabin to our friends.

This home was perfect. We had 2 families together and we never got in each others way. The home is very spacious with the perfect floor plan. The view is amazing. The home is centrally located so attractions are with in an hour drive in several directions.

This was by far the BEST vacation we have ever had! The cabin had a warm cozy homey feel to it. It was stocked up with eveything you could think of and the owner was incredibly nice and helpful. The cabin's located in a gorgeous gated area, it sits on a fantastic mountain top with mountain views all around and I just cant express how wonderful this trip was for me and my family! This is the best place to stay that Maggie valley has to offer . We stayed in the Bears Den while riding the hills on our motorcycles . The location , view , bedrooms and layout of the cabin are all anyone would ask for . If you stay there once you will be back . Ken went out of his way to make our stay Wonderful . A great place to stay! The house is spacious and nicely furnished. My husband loved sitting in the huge comfy chair and watching the big screen TV. My favorite part was sitting in the rocking chair listening to the birds singing and the sounds of the creek. We stayed for a week in this home and loved it! If you are looking for the following, this is the best place to stay in Maggie Valley: 1. well decorated, maintained home 2. large TV with DVD surround sound 3. large deck with multiple levels 4. good bed 5. comfortable furniture 6. kitchen with everything you need 7. excellent washer and dryer 8. wooded lot 9. secluded setting 10. 1 mile from Maggie Valley 11. gated community When we return to Maggie Valley, we will not look for any other place. We will stay here and will also recommend it to anyone going to this area. The owner was very helpful and prompt in replying to emails. From the time we first contacted the owner, everything went smoothly.

Wonderful holiday home central to everything

This well layed out home made our visit absolutely wonderful. It made it easy for us to enjoy the home as a group and also had places to go for privacy. The setting around the home is so peaceful we really enjoyed the patio for socializing and eating. Your home couldn't have been more centrally located. Close to Asheville, Cherokee casinos and Waynesville. In case no one has told you the trout fishing nearby is out of this world and the motorcycle museum is wonderful. Thank goodness your drive is paved. It made handling our motorcycles very easy. We'll be back.

Awesome Mtn Home - Awesome Location

I have stayed at this property many times over the last 2 years. The home is spacious, very warm/homey, and has been completed refreshed, inside and out. The decks outside are a great place to spend the cool summer evenings. The home is about a 1 mile walk from the center of Maggie Valley, and offers an ideal location. The home is in a gated community, which is nice, with many areas right around the cabin to walk/hike. No driving necessary - you can get a great workout, and enjoy some nice excursions right out the front door.
