Description of the Maggie Valley vacation chalet rental
**5 MINUTES FROM THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY ! **
Feel the stress slip away as you step over the threshold. Unbelievable mountain views in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Two minutes from the heart of Maggie Valley, yet far enough away in the mountains to relax on the front porch and listen to Jonathan's Creek.
Whitewater rafting, Mingo Falls, The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee Indian Reservation, Harrah's Casino, gem mining, petting zoo, and more - all within minutes of this adorable Chalet.
A large wooden playset for the kids with bench swings for the adults to relax and take in the views while grilling out on the large deck. Take your laptop with you, the WiFi has a 300 yard range from the Chalet. Firepit in commons area for your enjoyment. Take a picnic down to the picnic table by the rambling stream located on the community property.
The Chalets have fully equipped kitchens. One comfortable queen size bed in the master, two beds upstairs - three beds total. Three TV's - one in the living room, one in the upstairs bedroom, and one in the master as well. Linens, first roll of paper products, and laundry detergent is provided. Easy access - paved roads right up to the doorstep. Come visit our Chalet and "You'll Never Want to Leave!!"
If your looking to accomodate larger parties, we have additional Chalets available and can sleep up to 12 comfortably. Please inquire.
KIDS SKI FREE
When you stay at Chalet In The Valley a child, 17 and younger, will receive a free lift ticket for Cataloochee Ski Area any non-holiday Monday through Friday, when a parent, 21 years old or older, purchases a full price adult day, twilight, or night lift ticket.

Jake and I stayed in one of your Chalets(the one with the gas log fireplace and jacuzzi tub)We had a wonderful stay,the home was very comfortable.The views from the front deck were beautiful,we walked the property,went down to the creek wanted to dangle my feet in the water but brrrrrr too cold.We did see a momma bear and 2 cubs plus some elk,just happened to be out and about at dusk went they come out to eat.All in all will love to get back out there next year but in May or June when there are more people on vacation so we will have neighbors and new people to meet and make friends with.Thank You Leisa for sharing your house with us.

Perfect little "Gem"

Lovely location and close to the Ghost town and Cherokee. The entire family enjoyed it we went sightseeing and to different waterfalls. Thanks for all the little extras eg nite light and handcapped bar.

Everything about the vacation was wonderful. The chalet is very clean and comfortable. We took our 7 year olds skiing for the first time and they loved it. During the week the slopes are not at all crowded. No crowd/no wait.

Dear Leisa, Thank YOU so much for sharing your beautiful Chalet with us! So many new memories have been made because of you and your comfortable chalet. The Chalet is family oriented for those who would like to take their children and enjoy the quietness and beauty of nature. It is also perfect for a couple that would love to spend time alone in a romantic atmosphere. The comforts of home are located all around you with beautiful decorations, utensils, furniture and cozy bedrooms. And the kitchen allows you to make those delicious home cooked meals during your stay. The outside area is perfect for children that love to play out of doors in a safe and friendly environment. It is also perfect for couples that would like to sit in the swing and enjoy the beautiful mountains of Maggie Valley that surround the Chalet. When it came time to leave I couldn't help but to shed a few tears I just didn't want to leave the Chalet, its soothing atmosphere, the cozy comforts of home and all of the precious memories. Thank YOU once again Leisa for allowing us to spend time "At Home" away from Home at the Chalet in Maggie Valley! :)

We had a great trip. Our Stay in the Chalet was wonderful. We had neighbors that were real good. No Noise and a wonderful View. Everything in the Chalet worked. It was very clean. I would stay there again.

The Chalet is PRECIOUS!!!! We survived our first attempts at skiing at Catalooche, went horseback riding with a member of the Cherokee Nation (boyfriend's first time on a horse), then went to Harrahs for some slots and people-watching (boyfriend and BFFs first casino trip).
We cannot WAIT to come back!!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for making this much-needed vacation PERFECT and completely STRESS-FREE!!!!

Thank you for the use of your chalet we had an awesome time . We look forward to visiting there again. It is a neat little house my kids loved it. A note to GPS users I recieved a gps for Christmas so I decided to use it and it took us way up a trecherous Mtn. behind Cataloochee there was a sign posted about wrong gps directions so we used your directions. The rock slide was the other side of 40 also. If you have familys that want to ski beginners send them to Sapphire valley it s 55 miles from the chalet takes about 90 minutes but its half as much as Cataloochee with no lines and cheap ski lessons also very family friendly. We ate a place called Salty Dogs very good food.

My wife and I just spent a week at the sister property to the one shown here. We had an excellent time. The Chalet is very well maintained, cool and quiet. There are about six of these in a row back off the road and though they are close we were never disturbed. The location is perfect. You are close to Asheville, Cherokee, a quick trip to the tourist traps in Tennessee and miles and miles of very serene mountain drives.
If you need a shot of adrenalin, you can go to Deals Gap and drive the "Tail of the Dragon". It's 11 miles with 138 curves most hairpin. Then come back to Chalet for a quiet cocoa, coffee or chilled beverage and just mellow out.
We found lots of nice places to eat in Maggie and Waynesville and you can save a few bucks staying in and cooking. The Chalet kitchen had all the necessities to set up house.
We checked in on Sunday afternoon and the following Sunday when we pulled out we spent 8 hours driving home just talking about all we had done, how well rested were and what a great bang we had gotten for our buck.

"I highly recommend staying here to everyone! It's hard to put into words what a wonderful trip I had with my boys. Relaxing, peaceful, wonderful, and perfect are just some words that come to mind.
My vacation time there was only 3 days, but well worth it! I will be booking another trip here soon and enjoy another season. We got to go skiing, tubing, and we even got to see snow on our last day. My children had a lot of fun and the challet was so comfortable. It's definitely home away from home.
I am so happy that we have found such a lovely new vacation spot. Everyone needs to experience it at least once."
