Description of the Malone vacation home rental

This our gorgeous private A- Frame ski chalet located 7 miles outside of Malone- right on Titus Mountain. The ski resort is literally right across the street. This is a year round rental that is secluded and right on the Salmon River. There is a large swimming pool (pool open May-Sept.) and large sun porch. Newly aquired it was updated in 2008. There is cable, flat screen color TV, and a cast iron propane (real flames) fireplace. Located within minutes of a 36 hole champion golf course-MALONE GOLF COURSE- it is an ideal location year round. Great for families and corporate retreats. 50 miles to Plattsburg- close to Canada & less than an hour to Vermont. Rates vary on the season and will consider long weekends versus a week long rental. Sleeps 8 with it's 3 bedrooms and two full baths. One queen bed, two full beds and one bunk bed. We MAY CONSIDER a three day weekend rental. All deposits will still apply- RATES DO VARY BY SEASON!!! SPECIAL NOTES AND CONCERNS... FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN (or elderly) PLEASE REVIEW THE DANGERS!!!THIS HOUSE HAS A 16' X 32' 12 ' DEEP POOL. House is located on second floor so there are stairs. THIS HOUSE ALSO HAS AN OPEN LOFT OVERLOOKING THE LIVING ROOM. THERE IS ALSO A WIDE SWIFT RIVER IN THE BACK YARD. THERE IS A STEEP HILL TO GET TO THE RIVER. ALSO THERE IS A GRAVEL PIT UP THE ROAD AND THERE ARE A FEW GRAVEL TRUCKS THAT PASS BY PERIODICALLY IN CERTAIN SEASONS. PERSONS WITH SEVERE ALLERGIES & ASTHMA- House is in the mountains and in a country setting and we cannot control the environment.

Close to Mountain View and the heart of the Adirondacks. Actually located on a mountain outside of Malone ( 7 miles) - in Chasm Falls-. The roads leading to the house are great , not remote or dirt! Great privacy located right on the big Salmon River- Your bedrooms overlook the river and there is a nice deck to sit by the pool and also see the water. The ski resort is right across the street and take 4 minutes to walk from the ski lodge to this house. It is secluded and in the woods. Fishing and boating nearby- Rotary Lake has a town park- Lake Titus 5 miles away-Gorgeous Mountain View Lake & Indian Lake are right up the road and has a boat launch- A canoe drop in for the river is 2 miles from the house. Very close ( 5 miles) to the great 4-H Mountainview camp. If your kids are at camp this is a nice romantic get-a-way for the adults. Minutes drive from a 36 hole champion GOLF course- Malone Golf Course. When the golfing season is in full swing, the restaurant is open... really great food & bar there! Shopping is only 7 miles down in town but Titus Mt. Ski Resort has a restaurant and ski shop.( Open Dec-Easter)This house is up in the mountains and just gorgeous. Hikers- this is close to some fab trails! Visit Adirondacklakes on the internet and you will be amazed! Close to Vermont- Canada & Plattsburg. One hour from colleges in Potsdam/Canton area. Fishing in back yard but NYS licenses are required. Titus Ski is closed in the summer but this mountain retreat has a lot to offer in the great gorgeous summer months-Lots of great hiking trails and outdoor activities - Don't forget the fall foliage to see the changing of the leaves! We experienced a delightful visit at Titus Mt. The atmosphere of the chalet was warm, inviting and comfortable. The fully equipped kitchen made preparing meals and dining a very pleasant experience. It was a quiet and peaceful getaway in the country, enhanced by the sounds of the river in the background along with various wildflowers that were in bloom. The road in front of house offered a great opportunity for walking and viewing lovely sites from the mountain's base. Besides the great convenience of a large, on grounds pool, the nearby lakes we visited and/or could choose from were within a 15-20 min. drive which offered swimming, boating, and fishing; all of which we participated in. If we had more time, hiking would've been next on my agenda!

Group of 8 that stayed for 2 nights from 2nd of June until 4th. Nice chalet 10 to 15 minute drive to the Malone golf course. Plenty of room. Past 9 years we stayed in Malone using golf at par package deal. This reduced our cost by about 25%. We'll definitely be back next year.

The Chalet is directly across the street from Titus moutain and it is a very well appointed chalet , with lots of room for a family. We loved every minute we were there. The beds comfortable and two bathrooms so no one has to wait. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook in but I highly recommend Belly's Mountainview Inn for dinner. Its a perfect spot if you ski ..shh dont tell to many others about this best kept secret..Thanks Donna for sharing your lovely chalet ..we will be back very soon.
