Description of the Mammoth Lakes vacation condo rental

Village amenities at a non-Village price! "At Viewpoint Condos you can enjoy the best of both worlds -- the slopes during the day and the town during the night -- and all without having to drive! Walk across the street and use the gondola at the Village, you'll be on the slopes in minutes!" This condo has it all -- a great place to relax and recover after a day skiing or mountain biking. There's a master with its own tv and dvd player, twin bunks in the curtained-off entryway, and a way-better-than-a-sleeper-sofa Ikea twin daybed that doubles in size for the living room. We are new owners and redecorated the entire place in October. A functioning kitchen, brand-new board games, a blender and enough wine glasses for everyone make your stay a breeze. And you'll LOVE the Sharper Image massage chair in the bedroom! We are located at the Village end of the complex on the ground floor, a very short walk, so park your car and really enjoy all that Mammoth has to offer.

It's Mammoth! Lots to do and see and buy, plus all the free fresh air you can breathe!

On the shuttle route (we're the last stop before heading up) to the Main Lodge at Mammoth Mountain, or just walk a couple hundred yards through the pine trees to get to the Village and its gondola to Canyon Lodge.

Viewpoint Condos is a friendly, sized-just-right complex.

Our living room has two comfy slipcovered loveseats from which to enjoy the fire or the tv.

Our full kitchen, recently remodeled to remove all traces of the 70s, is equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, stove/oven, and full-size refrigerator. (Pots and pans, dishes and cooking utensils are all provided, as well as a salt and pepper grinder for serious cooks.)

A bar area with wine glasses and wine tools.

A fireplace complete with complimentary firewood.

Our unit comes equipped with a TV/DVD combo and a Game Cube in the living room. (BYO Games, or rent from the video store!) We also have a DVD player and TV in the master bedroom.

We supply and manage all of your linen and towel needs.

the condo does not sleep 6 as advertised... a bit chilly unless you use the wood burning stove: heater is temp-activated and LOUD... bring an extra sleeping pad for those using the fold-out couch... VERY conveniently located and GREAT jacuzzi... perfect for 2 or 3 people

The condo is nice and clean, a little cramped, tends to get small really fast when you bring in the luggage. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay, a maid comes in after you when you check out so that was nice, not having to wash towels or vacuum when we left. About a 15 minute walk to the village, probably faster if you're not walking in the snow, but still very convenient.
