Reviews for this vacation condo rental in Mammoth Lakes, California
Settling on Juniper Springs was a great choice- and there are a lot of choices in Mammoth. We have a 2 year old and a 5 year old so it was very important to have a ski in and out and good pool and spa. The room was great- pull out bed was typically uncomfortable. The kitchen was perfect and the deck was handy for watching the lifts to wave! We would go back to Juniper Springs for a family ski week and love Mammoth mountain and the community- even if we are from the east coast.
Sunstone provides a great location at Mammoth to be able to walk out your door and ski down to the chair lift. Condo #320 was clean, well stocked and had a nice tv. According to our son, the sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable and the door to the balcony needed some work (the top hinge wasn't even attached), but otherwise it was a fun spot to spend a few days at a great location on the best mtn in CA!
The unit was clean and of a very high standard in terms of amenities, location and comfort. We would stay there again and would definitely recommend it.
We had a wonderful time at the condo. Very cozy and clean with many extras. The kids enjoyed the pool/hot tub and the video games in the condo. Loved the close location to the center of the town. We will stay again the next time we are in Mammoth.
We have stayed at Sunstone and Juniper Springs for years. Overall, there is not a better resort in Mammoth. The units do not have AC so can be uncomfortably hot in the summer months. It was hard to cool down our unit even when it was chilly at night. The owners provide several fans that helped quite a bit. This particular unit has alot of knick knacks, although tastefully done. This unit was particularly clean. The appliances were spotless. The bathrooms were well-maintained. Loved that it was on the 3rd floor, away from the elevators. The pool noise from JSL was loud, since we needed to keep the windows open, but there is a 10 p.m. pool closure time. They provide plenty of kitchen wares and comfortable furniture with extra chairs. Enjoyed our stay very much.
Right off the elevator so that you don't have to go down hallway after hallway. No elevator noise or high traffic either! Lock boxes in lobby are a challenge though!
This is the most convenient ski condo I have stayed in. It has easy covered parking and amazing ski in/ski out access to the slopes. The accommodations are very comfortable with everything you need for an excellent ski vacation.
We just returned from a week at Sunstone. Our room (231) was clean and well furnished. The location can not be beat...definitely ski-in, ski-out! The large great room on the first level allows kids, teens, and families to spread out and get together with friends without crowding the condo, and the heated pool and jacuzzi are a wonderful spot to unwind after a long day on the slopes. We have stayed at Juniper Springs and Sunstone 3 or 4 times now, and will definitely return again. Our only complaint would be that the housekeeping was a bit spotty...one day they did not clean the room at all, and twice they left it only partially cleaned. Other than that, it's a perfect spot to stay! Thanks!
