Area Information

Located 300 miles northeast of Los Angeles, California and 180 miles south of Reno, Nevada, mammoth lakes is one of the premier ski resorts of the western united states and
One of the world’s largest ski resorts, offering all levels of terrain from beginner slopes to double black diamond runs. Mammoth Mountain has been the site of several world cup championships. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, winter activities include snowmobiling, ice skating, sledding and cross-country skiing. Mammoth boasts one of the longest seasons in North America, staying open for skiing and snowboarding as long as there is snow. This often lasts until July!

Although most visitors come to mammoth in the winter for the skiing, the saying amongst the locals is ‘people move to mammoth for the winters and stay for the summers.’ Depending on when winter leaves, the weather turns warm, averaging around 75 degrees Farh. In the summer. The ski area is transformed into a massive mountain bike park. Fishing, boating, hiking, horseback riding, rollerblading, tennis, golf, swimming and road biking are other summertime activities. The annual jazz jubilee is held in July, drawing jazz artists from around the world to perform. The entrance to Yosemite National Park is just 45 minutes north of town and makes a great day trip or overnight stay.

Amazing Getaway

My husband and I have been coming to Mammoth for years but this was our first summer trip and will not be the last!!! We stumbled apon this small very clean cabin and what a find!!!!! Great location walking distance to vons, and the free shuttle system which will get you everywhere you need to go. The jacuzzi's are nice after a long day of biking or hiking. The owner was delightful to work with we will be back!!!!!

Loved staying here!!! Super close to the village and really convenient. Very cozy loft apartment, clean and absolutely no complaints! I would definitely recommend this property and will hopefully be staying there again next time I go to Mammoth. :)

Mammoth is the best place to spend an awesome time in the summer! Creeks, lakes, the mountains..its just mid blowing! the place we stayed was very comfortable and cozy! very affordable too. Perfect vacation!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week and we had a blast! The place is spotless and everything looks new. The little wood stove keeps the place toasty but it's hard to get it started because there is no rack in there to get the wood off the bottom for airflow but no biggie. The location is convenient and there is plenty of parking. The property has 3 jacuzzis so there is always one available to soak in after a day on the hill. We will DEFINITELY be back!
