It’s all about the location. Island Cottage is a single family home located on a large piece of property right on Lemon Bay. This home offers deep water docking with a brand new 8,000 lbs. boat lift. Great fishing off your fishing pier! It is only steps away from 27 Miles of pristine Manasota Beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.

Island Cottage is located on the Southern Tip of Manasota Key, a barrier island located in front of the small town of Englewood. Easy access to the island is provided by two bridges with no charges; one is in Sarasota County the other one in Charlotte County. Once on Manasota Key, visitors are enchanted with this island where there are no high rise buildings, no traffic lights and no crowds. A charming two-lane road runs the whole length of the island. There are plenty restaurants, bars and stores for all your “beachy” needs. Island Cottage is close to the public beaches and to the unique Stump Pass Statepark Beach.

You will enjoy the Terazzo flooring thru-out this cute home except carpet in master bedroom. The whole house has been completely new furnished. Master Bedroom with king bed with dresser and large flat screen TV with walk-in-closet and adjacent masterbath. Guest Bedroom: 2 white wicker twin beds, dresser and wall closet. Own bathroom with single vanity and shower / tub. Well equipped kitchen with round glass top dining table, French doors are looking out to your boat dock and to your large yard. Living Room with leather Sofa (pull-out which sleeps 1-2) and bookshelf with large Flatscreen TV opening to another sun deck with French doors. A nice outdoor dining set for 6 invites you to enjoy your screened and covered lanai overlooking the dock and bay. Being on the West coast of Florida, you will enjoy the most spectacular sunsets anywhere.

No need for a rental car. Fly in thru Sarasota or Ft. Myers Airport. Get picked up by our local shuttle service and spend your vacation without stress on the island. 2 Bikes are provided. Enjoy the simple things of life!

This home was wonderful in Manasota Key!

My husband and I and 2 teen girls stayed here in Dec. of 2011 and absolutely fell in love with the area. It is so laid back, relaxing, and exactly what we were looking for. Everyone was so kind as we walked each morning then took the bikes out to explore. The home was very clean and had everything that we could hope for! It is tucked down a little street and backs up to the bay with dock in our backyard. We were able to catch some saltwater catfish for dinner and couple of times, yum! Stump Pass park is just a couple of blocks down the road and it was very interesting to see the dead trees everywhere. Husband and daughter saw some dolphins and a manatee further into the park. All in all, it was very nice and the home was excellent, thank you, Esther!
