The place was amazingly clean. It has everything you need. All the spices, the utensils, the cloths, pots and pans, dish soaps, towels, sheets, etc... It was like being at home. We had 4 family with a total of 4 kids and 3 newborns and the space was perfect. My family had the master bed and we were able to add a queen air mattress without a problem. The only thing that was missing was a fireplace. =) The owner Connie was great at responding to my questions. I recommend this place to anyone that is looking to stay in Rural VT.

We had a wonderful two evenings staying at this lovely house in Rupert. Not only was it impeccably clean and nicley located, the owners, Todd and Connie, were very cordial and easty to work with and were very responsive to all our questions; they returned our deposit promptly. We highly recommend this house to one and all.

I was attending a wedding in Rupert and I'm so glad this home was available for us to rent! A beautiful spot with the den overlooking a creek. The home was comfortable, clean and inviting. All correspondence with the owners was prompt and friendly. I highly recommend staying here!

Excellent Stay

Spent the New Year in Rupert atthis cozy, beautiful home. Plenty of Kitchen space--the "island" made for a great social area. Tons of hiking/snowshoeing in the area, even did some sledding! The home is very neat, and the owners were very helpful and left excellent directions and information. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the house for a few days in August 2010. We were a party of 4 couples and 2 babies. The house was everything we hoped for - big, pretty, comfortable, quiet, peaceful and located in a beautiful area. The neighbours are very nice and helpful (we needed some help, otherwise we wouldn't have met them at all). When we arrived we found the house to be very clean and well equipped (unlike some unpleasent experiences we had with similar rentals in the past). We cooked a lot and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. Todd and Connie were very helpful and recommended us great activities in the area.

Summer Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay in this house, our group was a mixture of ages from 3 year old to grand parents. The house is very well set up and has been beautifully remodelled. The hosts provided some wonderful suggestions of things to do in the local area. Lake St Catherine, Emerald Lake and the mountains of Western Vermont. If you are looking for a scenic, family friendly location I highly recommend this house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Vermont! The craftsman style home is well cared for - with period details, beautifully decorated and very clean, and right alongside that wonderful babbling brook! And the mountains all around us were ablaze with color. We especially enjoyed the old railroad turned nature trail - it was a great way to enjoy the beautiful scenery. This location was well away from all the Columbus Day madness - a hidden gem - but still plenty close enough to jump into the fray when we felt like it, with Dorset a quick drive and Manchester all plenty close enough.

Our stay was a great time. The house was a beautiful place to stay for a couple of days and the house was very clean and brand new. It was quiet and relaxing when at the house. It is a short drive to the Dorset Inn, which I will add the food is amazing, and a short drive to Manchester Center.
