Description of the Manhattan vacation apartment rental
Greetings - why stay in a heartless hotel when you get more space, an eat-in kitchen, a rootop view and wireless internet for considerably less' We've got a double bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living room.
Our apartment is on the 5th floor of a walk-up building.
Step outside the building and find yourself amidst tree-lined streets filled with cafes, restaurants, bookstores, bars, great shopping, parks and gardens.
Though the apartment is small, it will sleep four people and our guests have enjoyed its charm, comfort and convenience.
Greenwich Village - also known as the West Village or the Village - is more upscale than the East Village and is the original corner of cool, the closest any American neighborhood comes to a corner of Paris. This part of town has been home to artists and writers, nonconformists, entertainers, intellectuals, and bohemians since the turn of the 20th century.
From our rooftop, checkout excellent views of the Empire State Building and Greenwich Village.
Downtown charm is personified in stunnding tree-lined street, lots of low-rise townhouses, thumbnail size gardens, secret courtyards, and a wacky serpentine layout of streets.

Cute little apartment in Greenwich village
May 15, 2012
The apartment is really small, but the location is excellent - walking distance from all the best cafes, restaurants, shops and jazz clubs in Greenwich village.

Cute little flat, easy for couple with young kids, exciting area between Greenwich Village and Soho. Subway at 5 minutes by walk. Good price. A place to recommand!
Cozy apartment and great roof

We stayed in this apartment for 8 nights. Tha place is really nice and also the position is one of the best in NYC. The apartment is in the middle of Greenwich village, 5 min walk from metro station and bleeker street (beautiful shops). 4 people fit perfectly and you can enjoy the great view from the roof. I really recommend this place for your vacation! E&L

Excellent apartment, great location, you can really feel at Home. It has everything you need and it is so quiet. Best of all is that it is a clean and nice place!! I never met the owners, we Only stayed in touch by email or telephone and then were so kind! Definitely a great choice to stay at!

I highly recommend this apartment. The location is great, subway is just around the corner, plenty of bars and shops nearby. The owner was very helpful, thank you Viet. If you are looking for nice apartment at good price, this is it. Just be careful, there is no elevator in the building and the apartment is on 5th floor. But the view from the rooftop was amazing, directly on Empire state building. We had a great time.
Best NYC location - a home away from home!

This place is perfect for visitors on a budget, whether your first or return trip to Manhattan. I would recommend all types of travellers to stay in the Village - couples, singles and families. Big enough for 1-2 adults and possibly 1-2 kids. It's very cozy and quaint, and the apartment, while quite small, is set out well with everything you need. The few minor downsides were: the 4 flights of stairs, the super-slow computer (shouldn't complain, it's great to get one at all!) and the expected wear and tear (eg. plumbing and drainage) for an older building. I would definitely stay there again.
sweet little place in the heart of a great suburb

We loved the location of this peaceful apartment. Right in between 5th ave and 6th ave, everything at your doorstep. Minutes away from greenwich and west village and lots of transport nearby. Apartment very small but had everything we required (ac, internet, cooking facilities, cable tv and also SO quiet) We would def return and recommend. Owner very helpful, even let us check out late for FREE.

This apartment was perfect for our first visit to New York City. The location is perfect at the intersection of some great areas - Greenwich Village and Soho and within walking distance to East Village, Tribeca, Chelsea, Little Italy and Chinatown. We basically walked everywhere from here, including Central Park, and back from Brooklyn one night! It's a comfortable flat with everything we needed (TV, a computer with internet access, guidebooks, time outs, food and drink recommendations and more). It's also close to some great restaurants and bars. The view from the rooftop is terrific on a nice day and would be great to sit out in summer with a couple of beers. My only proviso is that for two people it was great. For any more than that it would be a little bit small, although with four people it would be cheap on a per person basis. I would happily return and also recommend to others.
Perfect location, attentive landlords!

Right on the subway line, the location of this apartment was perfect. Easy walking distance to West Village, SOHO, Nolita, Tribeca, Chinatown, and East Village. Being close to all amenities (supermarkets, laundromat, banks, bakery, cafe's, restaurants)we couldnt have asked for more for our 2 week stay. The landlords, Viet and Liezl, were very attentive and contactable at all times. Great views of the city skyline from the roof made the experience all the more special. We felt like locals which is just what we wanted. We hope to stay again.
Charming and tiny apartment

We choose this apartment but it was booked and the owner offers another in Greenwich village. Beautiful area, a little bit noisy.

Small but very well located apartment with free internet access.
Value for money, even if a little too cosy

As with all things real-estate in New York City, life is a trade off. The neighbourhood is great, it really is a local place with character, and the apartment is extremely quiet at night, the view from the tar beach roof is exceptional, transport links are great. However - cosy is an understatement, and you would be pushing it to have four adults in the place at one time - there simply isn't enough physical space in the place. The airconditioning is pretty noisy and the beds are well beyond their use by date. There is also way too much of the owner's stuff left in the place when space is a premium. That said, for the price, it's pretty good value, and the owners are very friendly and accomodating. I am sure staying in any other season than summer would also prove to be more comfortable.
Great Apartment in a Great Neighborhood
June 25, 2008
We stayed in #17 which is a mirror image of this apartment. The apartment was nice and clean. We enjoyed having a fridge to store drinks and food in. It was very helpful having a computer with high speed internet in the apartment. You do have to walk up five flights of stairs to get to the apartment so make sure your legs are in shape. Overall this was a great place to stay in Manhattan.

Home away from Home

The Greenwich Village apartment is the perfect place to stay when visiting NYC. My husband and I found it very cosy (especially in the middle of Winter!) and the apartment was filled with all the necessary amenities and more! Cafes, Joe’s Pizza (best pizza in NYC, Market Trading (best burgers in NYC), supermarkets, clothing stores are basically at the door step of this apartment, not forgetting Carrie Bradshaw's apartment and the Magnolia Bakery (Sex and The City)..which is only a 10 minute walk from here. We will definitely be rebooking this apartment on are re visits to NYC. Thankyou for providing us with the opportunity to stay in such a lovely apartment, which allowed us to explore NY in the most convenient way!
Great Greenwich Village location
April 21, 2007
We have just stayed for a week in this apartment and loved everything about it. The location is excellent - you are right in the heart of Greenwich Village with all of its cute stores, great cafes and restaurants. The apartment itself is very quiet, cosy and really bright - the sun shines right in which is a wonderful way to start the day. Transport links couldn't be better with a metro 3 minutes walk away. And the view from the rooftop is awesome! We would definitely recommend it and will definitely be back.
