Stay 20 Minutes from Manhattan at Suburban Prices! (#32936)

Write a review The location is perfect either to explore NYC or to visit other cities, such as Philadephia. The rooms were clean and comofortable, and location was perfect have everything in the vicinity. Various means of transportation to NYC is very helpful. We stayed here for eight nights on our first visit to amazing New York City. It was a good choice as a base from which to explore all that NYC has to offer. Technically, the apartment is not in NYC, it is located in Union City, New Jersey However, there are excellent, cheap 24/7 transport links into midtown Manhatten. The apartment is very pleasant and our room spacious. I found it very convenient to be able to use the laundry. The area is safe and we came and went at all hours with no problems. A supermarket for basic needs is close by. During the first days, we shared the guest bathroom with two other visitors whose stay partly overlapped with ours. The owner, Jonathon, is a really nice guy, very laid back and helpful. We enjoyed the late chats with him and Marie (another guest), which enhanced our visit(would not feature in an hotel or private apartment). Overall a very happy stay, good value for money and I will definitely come back again if I return to New York in the future. It was pleasure to stay in Jonathan's apartment! Very good location, near the center of manhattan, about only 15 minutes by bus. The apartment was very clean and nice and there was a clean shower available. We enjoyed staying with Jonathan who is a great and handsome (ladies!!) host and very friendly! :) We will definitely come back again when visiting this amazing city! Thank you Jonathan! Always welcome in Belgium! The apartment was super clean and tidy. The owner was awesome and helpful, when you need your privacy, you don’t even feel like he is there. The neighborhood has excellent restaurants – tasty and good pricing. We will rent this place again for our future New York business trip. A good place to stay near Manhattan. It takes 20 minutes by shuttle bus to get into downtown (you can take it next to the bus station, in 42nd). Nice decoration, warm welcome and all facilities. Great affordable place to use as your base while exploring NY! Double room in a spacious, modern, clean and light apartment. Jonathan was a great host, very helpful and laid back. Short walk to catch a direct bus to Manhattan (20 minutes) and you never have to wait long for a bus. the room is confortable. The living room has got big space and clean. the view is going to Manhattan The neighborough is quiet and safe Moreover we enjoyed our journey with friendly roomates. We were a little skeptical staying in someone's private home - especially knowing the owner was going to be there. But we were very pleasantly surprised. First, this apartment is not in Manhattan. But it's very close. And it's much nicer than anything we could have gotten for the price in Manhattan. And our room was very comfortable. Jonathan did an amazing job making it feel like a luxury hotel room! The bed was perfectly made, and very comfortable. A gorgeous new comforter and beautiful sheets that most have been 600 thread count. Very luxurious! He even had an iPod radio next to the bed! It also had a TV with a DirecTV DVR hook up and wireless internet. I mentioned earlier we were skeptical staying in a place with the owner. But that turned out to be the best part. Jonathan was such a gracious host. Totally taking care of all our needs. Even taking us to the grocery store twice! I highly recommend this apartment.
