Authentic SoHo artist's loft (Mathilde) (#33172)

Write a review Great location between SoHo shopping and Little Italy. The loft was very comfortable and the owner was helpful and flexible with check in and out times. This apartment had all the amenities of a 3* hotel room with more space and half price! After many stays in New York, I finally found a place that is comfortable, safe, fun, extremely clean and affordable. My daughter and I had room to stretch our legs, put our shopping bags and enjoy a few meals in. The owner was more than nice and extremely helpful. We will stay there again next year. The loft was great, the owner very helpful. The appartement rocks :o) We are going back. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Manhattan you can't really go wrong with this apartment. First start with the location. It's within seconds walk of the shopping districts of Soho and Noho. China Town and Little Italy are just around the back with the East Village just a few minutes away. It has several metro stations within two minutes walk which will get you to pretty much anywhere in Manhattan. Even the few journeys we had to make into Brooklyn and Queens were served by direct trains from these stations. The apartment itself is simple but very spacious, it's got all the necessary facilitiesand displays the owners love of design being laid out with a selection of designer lamps and furniture. The owner himself was really informative and very willing to help. This was the first time I had rented a vacation apartment in NYC and after this experience I'll definitely be doing it again! We had a great 1-week stay in this simple, clean and safe SoHo apartment. The location is perfect for those interested in shopping, dining out, and exploring the sights of lower Manhattan. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodated all of our needs. I would definitely recommend this apartment to others and would stay there again on future trips to NYC. We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The location is just amazing, right in soho. The owner was the perfect host, the apartment was super clean, and we were given clean sheets and towels. No one lives there on a regular basis, so it doesn't have anyone's things lying around. The apartments are nicely done up with modern furniture. There is a small kitchenette, but being in that neighborhood we didn't cook at all Being ideally situated near several major subway lines, this large loft apartment was a great base from which to explore Manhattan. The apartment had a modernist feel and blended well with the neighbouring SoHo vitality. The owner was very helpful, and even kindly installed an air-conditioner during a surprise "heat wave". The local streets were packed with endless restaurants and shopping. If you are looking for an alternative to a midtown giant hotel, this very reasonably priced studio is a fine choice - and won't blow your budget either. Comfortable bed and relaxed place. Good location. Suits a couple or one. Helpful owner. Would recommend it -for off beat place, easy to feel like you are living there rather than hotel experience. Only things missing are clothes washer/dryer & bring your own soaps etc.
