Description of the Manhattan vacation apartment rental
From front to back its 65 feet long. Each room has plasma cable tv , it also has internet access, a phone for local use.
There is a back garden
to relax and for smokers. The apt is very quiet , the building is owned and managed by Rose my sister. There is also a second apt on the same floor ,, so it is possible for two families to rent both and share the back garden.
Every thing you may need is in the apts ,, all towels , linnen , we leave milk , juice and bottled water in the fridge, alos cerals and fruit.
We welcome people from all countries and all walks of life , do come and enjoy the big apple. This is very good value.
We are 3 stops on Subway to 42nd Street Grand Central Station, then shuttle to Times Square.
Area Information
The block is very quiet, and the owners have been here for over 20 years.
all shops , laundry are only a block away.
there is good choice of retaurants in the area . The bus route is only a block away. The subway and metro north can be got at 125th street on lexington,, about 7 blocks.
Some excellent shopping can be found on 125th street,, all the big names are there. if you over do the shopping , there is
a shipping company right next door , and they also provide storage .

We really had a great time visiting NYC. John was very accommodating and provided us a lot of helpful information from restaurants to laundry. Within easy walking distance to both the local and the express subway. Easy transferring to all the other Burroughs. Would definately stay there again if we visit NYC.

We had a very nice stay at the apartment. It was tiny but well laaid out with 3 beds plus sofabed, galley kitchen and bath--all the comforts of home Everythign was scrupulously clean. There were plenty of towels and supplies. The owners, John and Rose, are lovely people.

John and Rose are great hosts. John arranged a pick-up from JFK and when we arrived at the apartment it was stocked with fruit, cereals, milk, and most importantly for Australians, beer !! The apartment is on the ground floor with a security access gate. Two bedrooms easily slept the four of us. Plenty of linen including towells and face washers. The kitchen has a full-sie frig/freezer and the oven and gas cooktop is state of the art. We were a 5 minute walk to 116th Street and Lexington subway, or the express an extra block away at 125th Street. We spent nearly two weeks here and would be most happy to recommend

Had a great stay in this Apartment over Easter 2010. John and Rose are great hosts. Booking was easy and communication from the owners was very good and informative. We travelled on the day after the BA strike and when we arrived Rose had cooked us a pie, in case we had not been fed on the plane! The fridge was well stocked on arrival with breakfast items, water and other things; also a full fruit bowl. The Apartment is clean and comfortable with good facilities, including Wi-Fi. We had no problems in the neighbourhood. Everyone we met in shops, etc. was friendly and helpful. There are useful shops nearby, all of which are described in a folder in the Apartment. The apartment is between 116th and 125th subway stations. A tip; if you are travelling downtown, go to 125th and get the 4 or 5 'Express' train, which does not call at 116th. The 4 & 5 trains are only 4 stops to midtown. We stayed 6 days and bought an 'Unlimited' pass on the Subway/Bus for $27. At the end of our stay, John drove us to JFK, which was great of him. We would recommend a stay in this property

I highly recommend this apartment. Great location - close to Subway, grocery store, laundry. Beautiful apartment - our family of 6 was very comfortable and felt safe in the apartment and the neighborhood. Incredibly helpful owner - fridge stocked with breakfast and lunch foods, water, and more, maps and brochures, very knowledgeable about tourist sights, how to get around, and a really nice guy. John went out of his way to help us, even driving us to the airport when our car didn't show.

Surpassed expectations

This was our first time to rent an apartment instead of staying in hotels. It was nice to be pleasantly surprised with a product and service that surpassed expectations. The house was nice, convenient to the subway, and stocked with some supplies. John is honest, and very helpful. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone.

What a great place for a first stay in N.Y.C. My wife & I stayed there with friends. Please read and believe all previous comments on this safe & secure apartment, owners , area and local people. Making the reservation was easy, Rose the owner was there to meet us, the fridge was full, the bedrooms and lounge comfortable, back garden to relax in for the last hour or so each evening .. it just goes on! Advice on using yellow cabs from JFK was correct --- $45 plus $5 toll fees ( same with Harlem cabs going back ). Bus stop and underground nearby. Buy a $7.50 all day pass at the underground station to use either underground or bus otherwise it's $2.00 a single trip. Rose - I can now recommend the local Indian restaurant / take-away around the corner on 3rd.

We booked one of the apartments for new year’s eve time. Making the reservation has been very quick and easy since the owners have been very nice and helpful since the beginning. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our reservation because of an unexpected family problem and, also in this circumstance, the owners have been the nicest people ever. They sent us a full refund of the deposit the day after our communication of annulment. Thank you owners, If we'll make it to come over next time, sure, we’ll ask for one of your apartments!!

A different Harlem the the one you hear about

6 month in advance we booked this apartment in Harlem, and service/ information prior to our arrival was fast and accurat. With great anticipation we arrived with our 4 kids. The apartment was really nice, clean and had all the towels and bathroom articles no hotel could ever do better. In the kitchen there was already fresh fruit, cold water, and coffe,the & some snaks etc.. When you arrive after 12 hours traveling with 4 kid´s these things makes a difference. Beds are great to sleep in, and the internet is fast and easy to access (wireless + cable) The appartment is very close to the bus stops and the subway, and we used both every day until 11:00 in the night, we talked to people in the area they were very warm and friendly. We highly recommend a visit to the local Gospel churches in the area. Fantastic expirence. We absolutely recommend it. My wife , and 2 friends stayed here , we found it excellent , very quiet , a fab garden to sit out in the evening to relax, Lots of space , it was an old style railroad apt they refurbished, so it runs all the way from front to back.All new appliances, but seem speole eat out as they were hardly used, we will be back

We rented this appartment in Harlem for ten days. This appartment is situated in a very quiet part of Harlem, supermarkets and grocery's very nearby. Our landlord was very helpfull, when we arrived (in the evening) everything we needed was already there (water, coffee, bread and ham). We were very suprised that this appartment was complete (very good shower!!). The people in the neighborhood were very nice and helpful. We had a very good time in NY and recommend this accomodation to everybody who wants to visit NY (it is a very nice appartment in a quiet part of Harlem). John and Rose, thanks for everything. Affordable and homey

We recently had a family reunion and four of us stayed at this apartment. There were roses, water, fruit, coffee and other necessities waiting for us when we arrived. The landlord was very helpful in steering us to local eateries, etc. Nicely furnished and well kept with a great back garden area. Definitely a bargain. My only problem was that with a bad leg it was a bit of a walk to the subway and there was not too much in the neighborhood to do. Although the subway that is the closest is a major stop from which you can go anywhere. The neighborhood is much quieter than what I've experienced in Manhattan before in SOHO. If you are willing to spend some time on transportation this place is a real gem.

The Best apartment ever !

This apartment was the best choice we made. It had everything we needed including water, some snaks and fruit. It is very close to the bus stops and the subway. The owners are very nice and helpful. We totally recommend it, if we go back we`ll definitely stay at the Moloney`s apartment. Thank you for everything. El departamento fue definitivamente una muy buena opción, al llegar encontramos todo lo que podríamos necesitar además de agua y snaks. El departemento tiene buena ubicación para poder tomar metro o autobús. Los dueños son muy accesibles y amables. Lo recomiendo ampliamente!! Si tuviera la oportunidad de regresar elegiría el departamento de los Srs. Moloney.
