This place had a great location, close to everything you need and the subway to get you around further. It was also clean and tidy. You also can't beat the price! The thing that made it the best was Grace as she would always help me whenever I had any questions regarding the apartment.

Wonderful vacations

The studio is in a very nice and friendly neighborhood, ca. 3 blocks from the subway, 5 from the Central Park and 1 from the East River Side. It is quiet. For two people is it OK. The bathroom is a little bit tight, but we could overcame that. We enjoyed a lot our stay in it. The only thing I ask you to do is to change the mattress and to close the communication (we could not close properly the door) of the studio next door.

the studio is well located in a nice residential area, less than 10 minutes walk from the underground. the bathroom is small and the heating system is noise, but it works :-) the studio is clean...it has been a good choice.

Some pluses, some minuses

I was pleased to get this studio for a good price for NYC. That said, there are some issues. Though the listing doesn't say, this is a 3rd flr walk-up. The good news is the stairs are unlike the usual rickety wood NYC steps and are clean, carpeted and safe. Still, hauling luggage might be hard for you. The bathroom is functional and clean but exceptionally small. At 5' tall and 110 lbs I could barely turn around in the shower and had to turn sideways to exit. I can't imagine being bigger! The a/c works very well, if loud. The cable was a huge problem when I was there but management did return all my messages and try to fix it. Still, the apt. is completely silent without it and that was a problem. Two issues: the fridge seemed to have water under it when I arrived & the surge protector was nearly sitting in this little puddle. There is an extension cord fed through a wall for power at one end of the room. This MUST be, if not illegal, then unsafe/questionable. The bed/linens are very clean but the bed slopes badly on one side. I can't imagine 2 people being comfortable. For one it was ok. Finally, I don't know how the previous guests walked 10 min to Central Park -- I walk FAST and there's just no way. It's about 10 min to the closest subway station 77th/Lex & CP is way past that. Appreciated the quick replies of management to the cable issue though never fixed during my stay, they were attentive. Clean & serviceable but very small w/some issues - perhaps for the price??

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

What can we say, the apartment was lovely, small but clean and perfect for two persons. We were in NY in June and everything was great. Every day we walked to Central park (only 10 min. by foot) and then to lower Manhattan. Metro station is also near on 77th St and Lexington Ave. Just around the corner is a bagel shop whit amazing food and on 79th St is a fantastic Dinner with all American specialties. The neighborhood is clean and nice. We must also say thanks to Grace and Theresa, she waited for 4 hours because our flight from Europe was late, and was very polite. We will definitely be back.
