Entered into a contract with this property (horrible contract & full of errors- red flag #1) but so many other properties were unavailable. After I signed, I had to hound the guy to find out if he received the contract and that the dates we had asked for were good and we had the apartment. He didn't reply until I told him we would be looking for another place to stay if he didn't reply with confirmation (red flag #2). I cancelled our back up reservations after signing the contract and receiving confirmation on our selected dates. 6 weeks later he emailed me and said "Sorry, the owner will be using the apartment on those days, we are unable to accommodate you." I replied to his email asking about other options, but never received anything from them again. What is the point of a contract if it isn't held up on both ends? How can you be sure that when you get there the owner won't change his mind and decide you can't stay at the apartment you SIGNED A CONTRACT FOR? No guarantees with this place, if you book here make sure you have reservations somewhere else as back up or you may be sleeping in Central Park!! Travel Nightmare!

We wanted to rent this appartment, signed the lease agreement, gave Ilan the credit card details, and got a confirmation from him. after a day he said he is sorry to cancel our reservation, because the previus guest wanted to stay longer. This is very unprofessional & bad hospitality! We will not do business with him again.

This apartment is in a great location - walking distance to many of NYC's key attractions, as well as close proximity to Penn station and the metro. Renovations were going on in the block when we stayed and so the entrance to the place and the corrbidors were far from glamorous. Mercifiully, no builders arrived before 10am and were gone by 7pm - they were friendly and thoughtful guys. The owner was attentive, friendly and helpful even responding to our call at 10pm when there was no hot water. The apartment had clarly been renovated recently but it needed a good clean - the floors were quite dirty and the rest of the place could have done with some meore detailed cleaning. If I could be assured that renovations in the building wer over, and the place was cleaner, I'd stay again. Good value for money for NYC, which is notoriously expensive.
Next time we would like to be in the penthouse everything was amazing the apartment was magnificent I could cook to everybody and building amenities felt like a resort we definitely will come back.
