A clean, air-conditioned apartment in a pre-war building featuring two sleeping areas (no bedroom doors), high ceilings, living room and an eat-in kitchen equipped for cooking. The small bathroom has antique claw footed bathtub/shower with an excellent view of the empire state building . Not for the feint-of-heart, this apartment is a 4-floor walk-up and is ideal for 2-4 guests but does sleep 6.

High Speed wireless internet access, Large Flat Screen TV (42") with premium movie channels, DVR, and Movies-on-Demand. All essentials are provided: Linens, Towels, Toiletries, Iron, Hair Dryer. 1 Double Bed, 1 Loft bed (Double), 1 Sofa Bed (Double).

Located in Midtown West on the border of Hell's Kitchen and Chelsea, a 12 minute walk to Times Square, Broadway shows or the Empire State building. Less than 10 minute walk to Penn Station,Madison Square Garden, Jacob Javitz Convention Center, Macy's/Herald Square, a Hudson River stroll, and NYC's Hottest Night Clubs. 7 Bright windows provide views to the East, North and South of Manhattan. Brand new carpets, flooring and Beautyrest matress. Three blocks from A, C, E subway line.

Area Description

If you are looking for a City that never sleeps, then this area is a must.

The center of Midtown West is Times Square, where the constantly flashing neon lights (some many stories high) are the beating heart of Manhattan. The area is certainly always alive with activity.

Midtown West is home to the world famous theater district. The Paramount, the New Amsterdam and the Belasco are some of the many theaters of Midtown, where the most impressive concentration of live theater in the world is offered.

South of Times Square you can find the bustling, business oriented Garment District home to Madison Square Garden (basketball), and Macy’s department store, they bill themselves as ¨the grandest department store in the world¨.

Owners were extremely flexible and helpful during both check in and check out. Space was small, but well arranged and LR and BR were very comfortable. In Hell's Kitchen near fabulous restaurants and not too noisy (for NYC). Reasonable rates and worthwhile even just if to have a fridge for eating breakfast in to save $. Thanks!

We spent 5 days in New York and having this apartment so near to everything was perfect for us. The mattresses were super comfortable. And Maggie's help was above par, Thanks Maggie! Jim was always accessible to answer any questions, we cannot recommend this place highly enough. Help make the New York experience all the more unique

Perfect Place to Stay in NY, October 28, 2009

The apartment was clean. There were towels, umbrellas, kitchen tools, hair dryer, iron, a very nice TV, everything you would need for a trip but don't want to pack. The beds were very comfortable. The area was very quite and the location was great. I would stay here again. You do have to climb up four sets of stairs to get to the apartment but hey your in NY!
