The Chelsea neighborhood is Manhattan's capital for art, architecture, fashion, & food.

Ideally situated between numerous world-class contemporary art galleries and restaurants Chelsea has a tremendous array of offerings. David Zwirner, Gagosian, Cheim & Reid, & Pace Gallery. are popular gallery destinations within the west teens & 20's. Most recently, stunning museum-quality exhibitions of Roy Lichtenstein, Marlene Dumas, and Claude Monet have all been on view only a couple of blocks away.

Chelsea Market and the HighLine park are located near the Meatpacking District and are close by as well. For modern dance enthusiasts the Joyce Theater and the Dance Theater Workshop always have plenty to offer. For architecture enthusiasts West Chelsea along the HighLine offers a virtual panorama of contemporary architecture from the likes of Frank Gehry, Jean Nouvel, and Neil Denari.

The Meatpacking district is one of Manhattan's main fashion arteries. Fashion labels such as Diane Van Furstenberg, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs & Stella McCartney have their flagships here.

As for restaurants there are plenty. I might recommend for sandwiches, Soccarat for their excellent paella, Spice for thai, Corner Bistro for burgers, Billy's Cupcakes for sweets, 9th Street Espresso for coffee, the Lobster Place for lobster rolls and lastly Cafeteria for everything else. The apartment is only two blocks away from all of the major subway lines. Lastly, Chelsea is club heaven for those of you who are looking to stay out late.
